Here is why ChippeRock should be lynched today. He started the game by copying the VT role PM, presumably from the game setup post, but also said he could verify the real VT role PM matches it exactly since he is a VT, claiming this proves to the other VTs that he is a VT. First, this is obviously not proof that he is a VT since as scum he could verify his role PM matched the role PM in the game setup exactly, and assume all the other role matched as well. Second, if he really is a VT, copying the role PM from the game setup and saying that his real PM is exactly the same is no different than copying his role PM, which is a clear violation of the rules. Since the GM stated he did not break any rules, he must not be a VT, and very likely mafia.

Also, the fact that ChippeRock has stopped talking about this "VT proof" claim after he was no longer the lead wagon makes it look even more like a scum ploy that did not work out as expected.

Part of me wants to just sheep Carl, who has produced pretty solid insight all day, but I’m not going to lynch Durga today.

Still feeling fairly good about Durga being mafia, but I will move to someone else on the list that we can actually kill. Especially suspicious of dargorygel and Foxcastle right now because I have not the slightest clue where they're coming from re: Flavius and I hate that they both just piled on in the last few hours of the day to put him in the lead.

Agreed. If, with 1 hour to go in the day, Flav is still in the lead, and the wagon on TrPrado hasn't grown, I'll vote for somebody more likely to be scum who has a chance of getting lynched.

I just wish we could give scum a little less guidance on how to play town off itself.

@Carl, although we can both agree Durga is acting scummy, and though I'm willing to lynch Durga, I think we can both agree that if our respective wagons don't grow, lynching someone who's actually got a decent chance of being scum is our best play.

Whoa. What’s the town case on Flavius?

I found him nervous under pressure early in the game, and he hasn’t moved the needle since. I don’t like how stagnant the votes have been, but that is a tough thing to gauge in a game this size, this early.

The town case on him is that he had a couple of exchanges where he was digging into TrPrado and me that looked like real efforts at scumhunting, plus the fact that the mafia case is all easily explained by him being new regardless of alignment. People were seriously latching onto "the secretary told him Balki was good and he posted that in the thread." That's so silly.

Idiot, if my role PM and the role PM from the game setup were the same, than there would be no rules violation - because they provide the exact same amount of information to others in the game.

RE: Flavius--sorry but nervous and defensive play when you're new and get dogpiled in the first few hours of the game is totally normal for new players of any alignment.

RE: Durga--isn't that a case for her being mafia already? When she is town you say she's quite valuable, but in this game she hasn't measured up to that. She's gone out of her way to explain away why she isn't engaging with ND when as town I would expect her to prioritize solving the game over avoiding an argument in a game all about arguing. I also hate the defeatist comment that there are 3rd parties so it's hard to solve anything because it's not contributing and it's also partly a flawed observation--third parties behave differently from people on a mafia team.

I think this is a great reason for why Durga should be lynched. Players with some experience playing Mafia - such as Durga - simply don't OMGUS vote other people. What are the odds this is an actual OMGUS vote? It's more likely a fake OMGUS vote to appear more towny and to deflect suspicion from the points I brought up.
