Don't throw around wrong acronyms if you expect me - a player who is playing their 2nd Mafia game - to understand them. You realize I have to google some of these acronym's and slang, right?Durga wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:47 pmwtf do you know what nia means. it means his lurking is NOT ALLIGNMENT INDICATIVE. he does it as both town and scum. regardless, he's a goddamn town liability and will lose us the game at the endChippeRock wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:45 pmHe lurked as VT twice as well! Did you not read the post I linked??

Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Perhaps its weird, but lynching Moscow when there are better options available and when the lurk is so out of the ordinary that it's likely due to something (like a flight as he claims) in real life preventing him from posting. We have a better chance of lynching scum if we don't policy lynch lurkers!
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
@chippe: the Peterbot had a list of some of the acronyms. Feel free to ask too.
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Look. You've seen what Durga (mostly) and I have said about why lynching lurkers like Moscow Fleet is pro-town. Yes, we know he might not be scum. The point is that it helps improve our chances later.ChippeRock wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:49 pmPunishing what's highly likely to be an unintentional lurk isn't going to solve the problem. Again, even by Moscow's standards, this is blatant lurking (as I've stated in this analysis of Moscow's past games). And, based on his history, if Moscow were intentionally lurking, it would be impossible to tell if he were town or scum.
ANYWAY. Is there any point in going round this shitty carousel any longer? If you don't want to lynch Moscow Fleet, don't vote for him! If you don't want to see him lynched, find a better way to push!
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
here's the truth buddy - there will always be a better option than moscowfleet. always. and that's what makes it so dangerous to keep lurkers aliveChippeRock wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:52 pmPerhaps its weird, but lynching Moscow when there are better options available and when the lurk is so out of the ordinary that it's likely due to something (like a flight as he claims) in real life preventing him from posting. I doubt it. I'd be more worried if she was focused on one or two townies + trying to buddy them. That's how she does it in Secret Hitler and WW.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 3:43 pmDurga could be buddying everyone, but I am townreading her considering how relaxed she seems to be playing.

Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
I'm all for lynching Moscow D2 if he continues lurking to this degree, but unless he's crazy, he wouldn't lurk to this degree - even though his play style is a lurker, it's NAI. Policy lynching someone D1 is a horrible idea - that seems to be the only lynch your interested in.Durga wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:53 pmhere's the truth buddy - there will always be a better option than moscowfleet. always. and that's what makes it so dangerous to keep lurkers aliveChippeRock wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:52 pmPerhaps its weird, but lynching Moscow when there are better options available and when the lurk is so out of the ordinary that it's likely due to something (like a flight as he claims) in real life preventing him from posting. Appreciate that, was able to find them. Didn't realize it existed.
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Because you called me nice earlier. <3 I'm just returning the favor.
Also, because while you're right about the policy lynch, there's still plenty of time to go, and I think Flavius is more interesting than Moscow Fleet.
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Your post explains why we shouldn't be reading his lurking as scum, but it doesn't explain why we should be town reading him either. You also fail to look at the content of his posts, the most recent of which I dislike. The other wagons available - Flav, Chip - I don't want to vote for because I think they are more likely town than notChippeRock wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:29 pmLook, as I explained here, this is completely out of character for him. I believe him when he states he's not deliberately lurking. Voting for a lurker is just a spin of the roulette wheel - vote for someone you've actually got a read on.Squigs44 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:26 pmAbout to head off for work, may or may not be able to sneak off for EoD. I agree that in a game this size you have to cut down on lurkers and people that will be just as unreadable later as now.

Let's assume, at the end of day TrPrado still has his vote on Unvote. Will he be modkilled?

I'm not reading him as town. And I agree that his most recent post makes me feel uneasy about him. But, there are far better options than him to lynch. If he continues blatantly lurking during D2, I will lynch him - but now is too early, and I think he'll start posting a little bit more.Squigs44 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 5:00 pmYour post explains why we shouldn't be reading his lurking as scum, but it doesn't explain why we should be town reading him either. Also, there are literally like 8 fucking wagons right now. Surely out of those 8, there is someone who is at least more scummy than Moscow.ChippeRock wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 5:04 pmI'm not reading him as town. Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Are D1 lynches on maf >random? Just wondering if there's any evidence to show that voting based on a scum hunt is better than random. If it is >random, to what degree is it better? I wouldn't be surprised if D1 lynches on scum are either (a) close to random or (b) not that much better than random. In either case, getting rid of liabilities early can pay dividends later in the game.ChippeRock wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 4:29 pmLook, as I explained here, this is completely out of character for him. The reason I'm bringing this up is bcz the webdip meta seems to be pretty against policy lynches. A lot of the IRL groups I've played with employed a policy lynch strategy + it seemed to work out pretty well.

What happens if he doesn't get replaced? (seeing as our two subs are unlikely to step in since both have proclaimed they won't play due to reasons)
