##GM NOTE

It is flavour. Didn't you see the opening video?
Is it a joke, or is it something that will actually occur in the game? I'm leaning towards the former, but the joke was so unnecessary...
It's FLAVOUR. There's no penalty. Can you just enjoy it.

Give us a list if your providing things cause so far I see nothing
Lists aren't actually very helpful, especially when they don't contain any explanations or context.
We already specifically discussed this with Squigs about why IT IS HELPFUL
I don't remember this conversation. I think that was someone else. Why do you keep mis-remembering things about me?

I don't know what your definition of flavour is! I understand it's in the video, but is this going to affect the gameplay or not?

@Flavius, by now you have no doubt seen at least one of the perhaps dozen requests in this game thread for you to tell us why you identified Balki as smart and experienced before I had said basically anything. You seem intent on avoiding those questions. Seems pretty clear you are afraid of them.

##vote Flavius again.

@Squigs, you should join me here. Votes matter.
I changed my mind on Flavius

Ok I'm back, to be honest, I don't think there is enough information to vote anyone up at the moment, and even if we do random lynch it's more likely to hurt us than to help us. @Jamiet99uk If I'm allowed to I'd like to #Abstain from the voting.

If you don't want to vote, than vote No-Lynch, you cannot abstain.

Please be aware that "abstaining" from voting is not permitted. You may vote "No Lynch" but you may not simply refrain from having a vote at the end of the day.

##GM NOTE

As I have stated, abstaining is not permitted. You must cast a valid vote before the phase ends. You may vote "No Lynch", however, which is effectively the same as abstaining, in that it is a valid vote that does not contribute to anyone's lynch.

If the vote ends in a draw, or with a plurality for No Lynch, nobody would be lynched.

Speaking of bait lynch.

Why are you voting for ChippeRock, Squigs? I thought you didn’t move your vote around casually?
Chippe already has at least one vote on him (Tom Bombadil) and no one likes his shtick. He’s getting plenty of pressure. Why are you voting ChippeRock now when you were so reticent to vote for Flavius?
If I explained my vote now it would lose its purpose. Remind me later and I will explain.
??? I dont believe you at all. Explain it now
Alright, so there was a clear difference between my interactions with you and with Chippe.

With you, all I had to do was say "scum" and you were insta-defensive. I didn't need to vote you to get your attention and get you into a backed-into-the-corner state. Also, Balki and others were actively questioning you and engaging you with conversation. I wasn't in a real conversation with you.

With Chippe, I was in a conversation with him, asking questions. I had his attention when I placed that vote down, and it put more pressure on him. If I had said it was a pressure vote, it would have lost it's pressure. And for anyone that says pressure votes don't work, Chippe was accusing me of viciously starting a bandwagon on him, so I would say he felt pressured by that vote.

Pressure voting is all about timing and how you put the vote in.

apparently trying to break the rules instead of just trying to play and solve the game

i genuinely don't know.
I honestly think Chippie just doesnt know what to do
He's being super vague which is really weird, but anyone who votes him on the first day, well thats a mistake
I want answers from TrPrado and he has offered nothing, also I havent gotten to the point yet but why switch @carl??
You were on TrPrado too then you just hop off, like what?
What questions? Can you please repeat them here? I haven’t really reread the game so I may have just missed it. I also asked Squigs to do the same because I haven’t gone back to see what he asked me either.
TrPrado, I already reposted this question once and you want me to repost it again? Quite a bit has happened since I asked the question, so you may have inadvertently answered it since then, but an update on your thoughts of Teacon regarding his joke posts and how he has been since then would be helpful.

The problem, the big reason this continues to be a conversation, is you came in and acknowledged the game state and reading through posts and acknowledging them. Using green text in your opening post is one thing. Going out of your way to keep the c-word joke going when you very obviously know people have already started getting more serious is something else entirely.
You seem caught up on his two or three joke posts. Teacon has a lot of other posts and stances. Do you agree/disagree with those?

Whythough? Please Explain how chippe seems scummy.
Percy, do you think Chippe sincerely believes he can proove he is a VT, do you think he was reaction testing, something else?
I believe he either
1.believes he can prove he is VT,
2. is Town Pr trying to Make Scum believe he is VT (which depending on his role could make one other player inclined to promote that image)
3.or is the Blind assasin, trying to keep everyone off his case.
OK, I think I will ##VOTE Percy for now, until he offers a good explanation of why Chippe could be the Blind Assassin trying to keep everyone off his case but not any other scum trying to keep everyone off his case.

I will be rereading Squigs, Prado and Fox in the meantime.

@Squigs

You seem to be changing your mind a lot here. Not only that, besides your idiotic "gut reads", you have not posted what your current reads are. Additionally, the only two players you have focused on analyzing their posts are mine & Flav's.

Why don't you broaden your scope a little? Tell us about your current reads - and an explanation behind those reads. Your focus on reading only 2 players in this game is getting ridiculous and it makes you look scummy.

SQUIGS:

Regarding your method of determining town or scum in a single post, please explain very calmly and in detail about your method and what you sought to accomplish with it. I know you explained some element of it before, but could you give a more, let's say, forthright answer?

Methodology:
Read the first post of every player. Without analyzing it super in-depth, try to guess the alignment of the player. If the post is NAI, read their second post, or third. Mostly looks at tone, but takes into account the situation of the game at that moment. For example, Flavius got a scumread on his initial post because he made a post very similar in content to a player I had just given a townread to.

What I sought to accomplish with it:
My primary goal in employing this methodology was to entertain myself during the dull moments of the beginning of the game. Foxcastle asked me what kind of Squigs was going to be playing the game and I told him the one that was going to have the most fun. Doing this was a fun little game for me that kept me entertained throughout the first 12 hours of the game, as evidenced by my abnormally high post count (abnormally high for me at least).
The secondary purpose of this methodology was to generate content. I wanted to get people to instantly start talking about alignments and motivations, and set a quick pace for the game.
My intended purpose was never to solve the game in the first 12 hours. My intended purpose was never to start a wagon based on the first post or two of a player. I think by now there is enough content now, and after answering questions from people, I will shelf reckless Squigs and pull out analytic Squigs to iso/analyze people and build a case or two.

##VOTE SQUIGS

I'm doing my reread one player at a time and he was first and I've gotta say he actually looks pretty terrible.
How so?
He's a liar, a hypocrite, and a scoundrel.
I would disagree with this. I'm only one of those things ;)

Squigs - How do you currently read Balki ?
I don't have a strong read on him, I haven't taken the time to analyze him in depth, and his posting style is too lawyerish to get an alignment off of him without looking at him in-depth.

His line of reasoning on Flavius makes me lean town, in seems consistent and genuine. I wasn't impressed by his smarminess argument, it looked like a way to try to formalize a weaker read into a stronger one.

First off, I was already planning on using today to broaden my scope and get more into analysis and less content generation.

Second, this is hilarious to hear from someone who has given a single scum read (unless you count your waffling of Carl as a scumread) and two weak town reads. I will broaden my scope and I implore you to do the same.

Not a single player has posted a full reads list, so my gut reads are currently leading in that category. Not a single player has mounted more than three cases on different players, so why are you criticizing me when you could level the same criticism on any other player in the game? Oh right, because I am your only scum-read right now and you aren't willing to change that.

My reread suggests that you're verifiably at LEAST two of these things.

Speaking of which I'm still working on my long post. I think I'm gonna break it into a few different posts because going player by player is taking a while. The first one is gonna be the first 6.

Okay, I should be caught up on questions, time for analysis. I will be doing analysis on players that are not lurking but maybe more under the radar first. If you have any specific player you want me to iso let me know and I will try to get to them before the night is over.
