heh well I'd rather talk to bozo than to you. That's true enough already.
more importantly bozo was at the bottom of the list when I asked this, so the lurker question has special weight for him in addition to asking about policy. So yes, I did want to see what he'd say and how he'd answer.

Policy lynching was a big/contentious question in m1007 D1. teacon asked a lot of people direct questions about their stance on policy lynches. Whether or not he cared, it's consistent with town!teacon

That is true, and it's one of the reasons I scumread him back then, because he was going on about policy lynches when I wanted people to discuss my case on damo. So it's NAI.

really what's worth looking for is people who are posting just enough to avoid the lurker label, but not really committing anything in terms of behavior (i.e., hunting) or opinions (i.e., reads when we get to that stage of the game). the problem with a huge game like this is that there's so much room to lurk that it's hard to find.

If ChippeRock is a VT, he has broken the rule on gaming the role PMs. Since the GM said he has not broken any rules, I have to assume he is not a VT. I suppose he could be a town PR, but I seriously doubt that.

I still have no idea what Chippe was doing, his explanations make no sense, people who claim they get what he was doing but won't explain also make no sense (teacon and I think Squigs, but I have to reread the whole thing). People who townread him because "why would scum do something like that?" also make little sense.

I addressed it but I did not answer it. I think it too early to talk about lurkers, so I would not vote for MoscowFleet for lurking at this time.

It seems more like a scum ploy than something a town PR would do. If he is a town PR he is already exposed to the scum.

Jesus Christ, catching up has taken me way longer than expected but I didn't want to start commenting until completely up to date. I feel so refreshed with knowledge. (opinions)

1. I am almost certain Carl is town

2. I think Squigs likely is aswell.

3. I am genuinely very glad Chippe has been able to reintegrate back into this game. I thought the end was near close to the end of my catchup.
(I don't think I need to say he is clearly town)

4. 'Lurkers'. While I think it is quite early to assume Mafia from someone who's hardly posted, bozo's seeming lack of care to post literally anything of importance makes me highly suspicious.

5. I have no idea about Flavius.

6. From my fairly unimformed opinion, Balki seems scum, don't read too much into that though.

7. I think teacon is Mafia, annoyingly I'm finding this hard to justify, but discounting Chippe's actions as scum, and eagerness to lynch lurkers are hard for me to ignore. So I am going to have to respectfully ##VOTE teacon7

I don't know why people were town reading Connor before, but I am surely townreading him now after this post.

Which part strikes you as towniest?

When I read 1 and 2 I thought "he is repeating almost exactly what I said" (but not with the exact same words, so I won't accuse him of copying).

This part from 3: "(I don't think I need to say he is clearly town)" I didn't like at all. There are several people who now seem to think he is clearly town but I don't see it, and claims like that without explanation rub me the wrong way.

4 seems like setting up a convenient excuse to vote for bozo if it comes to that.

5 is a bit of nothing.

6 is something, but very hedgy.

Is 7 what you find a strong towntell, or something else?

Well, I suppose bozo participated enough to not be considered a lurker - though I still think him having only 1 read (me) is very suspicious. I still think ##VOTE Squigs44 is the better lynch.

Squigs does not like playing scum, worries about playing scum, but does not create new personas for playing scum. Does create new personas for playing town. The thing with checking his gut because some other guy was slightly better than average doesn't strike me as... I dunno. I don't want to say it's scummy, because I could see him coming off his third place in the MU championship with a nice confidence boost and picking that up and running with it. However, it does require town-Squigs to think that he is also going to be better than average, and I think that's different from his more cautious town meta. However, scum-Squigs could just run with it, because obviously.

Hey Squigs, what roles did you play in the MU championship, what roles did you really excel with to get to third, and do you think you're riding a confidence boost here in M46?

In champs we played a setup where everyone was a PR, no VT's. I was Jack of all Trades, but only got to use a Voyeur which was useless, so I might as well have been a VT. I was actually pretty surprised I got third in that game. I got mislynched D2 after a bunch of crazy shenanigans including claims and people voting me after townreading me. I got lynched mostly because I got bored and did this thing where I tried to build a scum-team using primarily wagon formations, and didn't explain my methodology very well, people got confused and didn't like my word choice. Oh, that and town sucked. We got swept by mafia.

So no, no confidence boost, it was a pretty awful game. I would say my emotion coming into this game is excited though. I haven't played a webdip game in a while and I like them better than the champs game.
