I UNDERSTAND that, but the disconnect for me is that his argument is WEAKBalki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:39 pmWhy? Someone who makes a solid argument for a scum read without voting for that person is necessarily their scum teammate? I don't think you think that.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:10 pmOh boy, I swear if you dont have the best reason in the world for not voting TrPrado I just found his teammateCarl Tuckerson wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:15 amPost some reads and ask some people questions about their reads. You’re doing this bizarre bit like an umpire where you give impartial judgments on how people are arguing but you’re ultimately just standing there and not advancing either team’s win condition. It’s like watching a shortstop call balls and strikes. Less coaching more doing please
I find the argument made by Carl here to be a strong one. I actually appreciate you quoting it because it rings true to me, and I find myself nudging my read on Prado Scumward. Though, your push on him mitigates that a bit too.
But, either way, Carl's argument looks sincere to me, and I don't think we can draw any conclusion from the lack of an accompanying vote every time someone has a strong reason for a scumread.
How do you think its strong at all?
Carl has been on TrPrado for a little, made GOOD ARGUMENTS and then just drops all of a sudden

Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
I think this is key. I don't think Chippe assumes Crusaader is town because he's scum and knows, I think Chippe assumes Crusaader is town because that allows Chippe to lecture Crusaader on the value of his vote (or lack thereof).ChippeRock wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 6:26 pmI disagree, I don't think his vote means anything until he has read the whole thread and posted all of his thoughts & opinions.

You're overthinking this one sport. I'm glad you went down this rabbit hole since the Grug brains in this town finally figured out you weren't mafia from this line of thinking, but I was pissed at ChippeRock's VT shtick and how much time it was taking up and thought that delivering an ultimatum would help.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 6:29 pmI UNDERSTAND that, but the disconnect for me is that his argument is WEAKBalki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:39 pmWhy? I don't think the ultimatum really did anything but we did manage to move onto real discussion again so I'm happy with the result.

Agree with you, but I am at work, checking the thread on the bot and posting on cell (because the site is blocked). It was hard to only read the thread.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:46 pmIn my head, I have a rough clump of "People who should be doing more," and you are squarely in that clump. Just an FYI.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:41 pmLast game I had a gut feeling Damo was scum in D1 and he really was. Obviously it doesn't mean I am right now, but I started to have more confidence in those feelings.
It seems I am always late on the discussions.

I'm struggling in that its hard to keep up to date with reading and theres a bunch of new people for me (5 or 6 I think).dargorygel wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 11:32 amRealizing that I am now NOT 'moving on...' I have to say this about 'proof.'
"You keep using that word... I don't think you know what it means."
Meanwhile @Nephthys... I'm very willing to read your posts and think through your reasonings. Your reads have often ended up right, in the end.
Who is scum today?
I think I'm probs gnna take today off sick so will update when I can

xorxes, as you don't seem to have made too much of a contribution to this game yet, could you please let us all know what your current reads are when you catch up on this thread?

Look mum, I made a friendet wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 3:33 pmIf that is unchangeable vote, I will vote damo or Cru.
Because if we don't lynch player without comment, scums can hide very easily.
What they have to do is just keeping silence.
If changeable one, I will vote Nep. Because Nep seemed to catch up this thread, but not to be so active. So, I want to see reaction.
I thought boz, but I wonder boz react me. So, I think Nep is better.

I understand @carl I know I was reading the thread and how no one liked Chippie since he did bad stuff in the past, so I understand how some people might be partial to him, Im glad you got past that and are right back on track :D

I don't know why people were town reading Connor before, but I am surely townreading him now after this post.connorcompton wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 6:18 pmJesus Christ, catching up has taken me way longer than expected but I didn't want to start commenting until completely up to date. I feel so refreshed with knowledge. (opinions)
1. I am almost certain Carl is town
2. I think Squigs likely is aswell.
3. I am genuinely very glad Chippe has been able to reintegrate back into this game. I thought the end was near close to the end of my catchup.
(I don't think I need to say he is clearly town)
4. 'Lurkers'. While I think it is quite early to assume Mafia from someone who's hardly posted, bozo's seeming lack of care to post literally anything of importance makes me highly suspicious.
5. I have no idea about Flavius.
6. From my fairly unimformed opinion, Balki seems scum, don't read too much into that though.
7. I think teacon is Mafia, annoyingly I'm finding this hard to justify, but discounting Chippe's actions as scum, and eagerness to lynch lurkers are hard for me to ignore. So I am going to have to respectfully ##VOTE teacon7

EMC successfully lurked? That wasn't enough of a red flag?Percy Williams wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:38 pmTown Teacon and Town Xorxes had extreme tunnels on each other, getting into battles about logic, and logical fallacies, while scum EMC and MoscowFleet lurked their way to victory.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 4:23 pmCan someone give me a Cliffs Notes summary of "what happened last game" that is important for this game? Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Well this game is fascinating gonna read the set up and have a close read when I get home.
Until then, scum is likely controlling the thread

Why am I voting him then?FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:28 pmThis is the kind of reason WHY Chippie isnt a scumChippeRock wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:19 pmI'm sorry, not trying to OMGUS here, but bozo has made 2 posts - one of them a vote, and the other a 8 word sentence.
If everyone's jumping on Moscow's wagon just because he was scum last time he was lurking, shouldn't we at least analyse why bozo is lurking?
Bozo, please explain (in detail) what part of what I'm doing is a scum ploy. Please also start commentating on other's posts and give us more than 1 read.
I completely skipped over bozo entirely, seems like everyone else has too

I meant Bailiffs in real life, I get that that's their role in this game.damo666 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:30 pmThe Bailiff does in this game.Percy Williams wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:23 pmFrom my limited knowledge on bailiffs, I don't think they actually jail people. I could be wrong on that, but in my previous games I did the same thing with "Doctor" when it was actually medicine man or something. I just simplify names to make sense to me, because I can't be bothered to memorize the technical role names for every game. But I've never played with a jailer before, so I don't know if it's normal.
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Seems like an odd thing to imply that you haven't read the thread closely and then to assert that scum is controlling it.

Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
Correlation does not mean causation. I don't think he was implying that they were town read because they were noobs, but that the globe in this game were all coincidentally town read.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 6:23 pmEveryone else assumes that "the noobs in the game were town"? Who does that? I don't. I have never seen that assumption before. Why would anyone assume that? Why do you assume that?ChippeRock wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 6:16 pmYou're overreading it - I, just like everybody else, instantly assumed that the noobs in this game were town (which isn't such a horrible assumption).
Connor has used the noob card to get strong townreads throughout - and while I won't comment on whether or not that's a correct read, neither him nor Cruaader have said enough to get themselves strong townreads.
Why do you keep bringing up Connor? I don't see what that has to do at all with Cruaader.
