Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
I'm just sayin', but Squigs has been jumping on easy bandwagons. First Flav for his "lie", and me because I'm acting cryptically, not helping Town, and being "obtuse".
That deserves at least some investigation in my opinion, OMGUS or not.

Truthfully? I didn’t see it. But I really don’t care, it was more “you’re already there and having an interaction with the guy about it so go ahead and go the rest of the way”Carl Tuckerson wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:38 amOops. It was Tom that asked me that, not youTrPrado wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:30 amI specifically quoted a post where you were talking TO TomCarl Tuckerson wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:29 am
Noooo, you’re all confused, I was talking to Squigs when you puffed your big boy chest out and said “Hey man, why are you asking Squigs about his read on Chippe, but not Tom?”
I took that to mean you cared why Tom was reading Chippe negatively. Don’t tell me it was all a ruse and you were just asking questions for the sake of it!
I remember now. You were sitting on the third row watching and chimed in asking me why I didn’t want to talk to Tom right away about the read he made on Chippe. I asked you to do it while I was questioning Squigs since you seemed interested and weren’t doing anything. Why didn’t ya?

Hi fine town people, what's the news?
I have 23 pages to read and not much time as it's 23:21 here, so don't expect much from me today.

That's an interesting comment. I agree about last game but I don't find Flavius so defensive. Trying to frame?Percy Williams wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 8:29 pmLast game when accused of being scum (As a town in Lylo) Flavius Aetius was less defensive and more accusatory of any other target.

Hey I'm making a huge notepad.exe textdump of responses while I'm catching up. I'm letting you know now because it caused confusion before. Here goes.
page11
@balki why not call me out by name? I was the one who said "town morale".
I've never seen flav d1. He's playing like he played last game as town: making statements "off balance" with a list of reads like 4 hours into the game. Like a martial artist who throws a punch so hard he knocks himself off balance. I'm leery of it because it fooled me last game. For all I know, that could be NAI for d1 flav, so I'm giving it more time.
Also: Merlin!
page 12
Is this your first post? As I'm catching up, I'm hoping he replies: "town for saying "town for saying "town"" ...
end of page 12 catchup. I've not read past pg12 yet.
page11
@squigs - Okay so... does that same logic apply to your gut assignment of a read to someone's first post? I'm not trying to defend flav here. I'm wondering how gut-first-post-reading
I'm re-reading as I'm posting this. I had to check that I wasn't dead. Yep, wasn't dead. Oh also, there's no dayvig. If you're gonna jail me, we're gonna have a good time.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:14 pmI will insta-hipfire-Day vig anyone who is telling jokes for "town morale." I don't like my town feeling all happy. I like my town starving and afraid.

Oh man let's please not do a meta rivalry. for pete's sake. I'm not liking your start either, but let's see what's up. Why am I so scummy?xorxes wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:15 pmI'm liking Squigs's game start.
Many new players all blending into one for me at the moment.
Prado is back! I don't remember a lot about how he plays, I only remember he is very easy to catch when he is Merlin.
Flavius and teacon being so scummy is kind of awkard for me given last game. @teacon, what's your take on Flavius? @Flavius, what's your take on teacon?
I will probably miss most/all EODs given the time.

@EP! I'm glad you're playing again. I'm looking forward to you playing again.
So ... you're saying that my one post on page 9 is AI because you were ready to talk about something else? I'm not the one obsessing about this Prado. You are.TrPrado wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:23 pmThe problem, the big reason this continues to be a conversation, is you came in and acknowledged the game state and reading through posts and acknowledging them. Using green text in your opening post is one thing. Going out of your way to keep the c-word joke going when you very obviously know people have already started getting more serious is something else entirely.teacon7 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:07 pmWe may have different ideas of how long a joke phase lasts. If I just got here, whether prado likes it or not, I'm still in a joke phase. Discuss.
Fwiw, I think there's more to it than just morale. Jokes, whether they're behaving with "real meaning" or not, have a tendency to generate information. Like someone :ahem: trying to towntell by pooh-poohing joke phases because he's so anxious to look solvey....
How do you think the game gets started without any information?
Agree and agree.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 10:30 pmI get the notion that town want the thread to be productive, and scum want the thread to be unproductive. But I think scum are much more likely to spend their effort on blending in rather than on hindering thread progress.
I would say that town would generally feel more at ease to extend a joke phase than scum. What do you think about that?
@durga - That's so meta. Not in the sense of identifying player traits as AI, but because....
Is this your first post? As I'm catching up, I'm hoping he replies: "town for saying "town for saying "town"" ...

As a matter of fact that was NOT the point I made. I tried to be explicit about that.

oookay it's gonna take a while to catch up to this. I'll not respond to literally everything that crosses my mind. I may try.
pg 13 -14
To clarify #3: Do you like the solving or the deceiving better?
Why are you counting your required posts?
@TOM BOMBADIL - I'm looking forward to an explanation for your vote.
[/quote]
It's not necessarily something you do, its more of a mindset. And finding out what people's mindsets are is the key to this game.

@squigs - agree and disagree. Counting scummy vibes off of players is one thing. Putting together a potential team 4 hours into a 20+ player game is hardly doable. Even looking for patterns or team mechanics and factoring in motivations and connections (or lack thereof), dould you do that right now? Put together a list with everyone including an SK? The problem isn't so much that his list had too many scum on it, as it is that he felt like, at this point in the game, he had to put the list together at all. That speaks more of a defensive posture, which... yeah is slightly AI. There's lots of reasons that people get defensive though, some scummy some related more to experience.
End comments up to page 15. Still not caught up.

Cool, sorry that sucks, and okay I guess.

Glorious! Thank you.

And you expect him to have done all this 3.5 hours into the game? That doesn’t seem very realistic.

I am still not sure I understand your modus here..

You gave two criteria for your mafia-choices... has your list changed since some of the low participants have picked up their participation?
Also... giving criteria for scum does not really help me see how you think others are town... is it the opposite?
Flav... is your read list simply gut-reads? I can actually accept that. Although you haven't really been a 'gut-read' dude before... if this is gut-reads, why are you posting it so soon, so suddenly, today?

@chipperock
I admit I don't see your brilliant reveal. But I also don't see your shenanigans as particularly AI.
But I wanna ask you this... at THIS point, why not just tell us where your hints are? You're heading for a lynch. According to you, a miss-lynch. Seems to me the best way out of it is to reveal your reveal.
As it is, a lot of time and energy is being spent on trying to connect the dots you claim are there.
Help town, here. Tell us your hidden gems, OR explain clearly why you won't.

A link to the peterbot should really appear in all Game Start posts, right? Or does it appear there already and I am dumb? Anyway, can someone please link to peterbot?
