Re: M1007 — "Mafia, She Wrote" Game Thread
Everyone was in an uproar. Fingers pointing, accusations being made. The town was ready to pop!
Suddenly, a shrill trilling drowned out everything else and the crowd fell silent, turning to see Mrs. Fletcher lowering a whistle from her mouth.
"An old trick from my days as a school teacher," she said.
Somebody cried out, "There's a murderer on the loose!"
She nodded. "Oh yes, I know, and I'm ready to solve the mystery."
Sheriff Tupper raised his pistol and pulled the trigger.
Old Man Winthrop fell to the ground, clutching his stomach.
PERCY WILLIAMS HAS DIED. He was Old Man Winthrop, the Vanilla Townie!
One of the last remaining townies cried out, "Sheriff Tupper? It can't be!"
Mrs. Fletch wagged a finger. "No," she said, "I'm the power in this town. I'm the only reason anyone's ever heard of Cabot Cove. And I love my little community. But I can't tolerate certain... misbehaviors. They'd ruin our reputation. And I also can't risk that too many outsiders will find their way here. Oh, I do love seeing the occasional tourist, but too many, and soon we'll be overrun.
"Now, what's going to happen is that one of you is going to confess to this murder. That's how it has to happen. Don't worry, I'll solve it for you. Just like I always do. People sometimes figure out my little game, but killing someone is no challenge. The real challenge is getting someone else to confess. I'm very good at it, in fact, I've never been wrong about the killer."
One of the last townsfolk stepped forward, "I'll never confess!"
BLAM! The Sheriff's gun fired again.
TEACON7 HAS DIED. He was Lawrence Craig, the Vanilla Townie!
Mrs. Fletcher went on. "That only leaves you."
The last remaining townie started to weep. "Jessica, we've been friends for so long..."
"Shhh... there, there. There's really only one way out of this alive for you. You know what you have to do."
He nodded.
"Say it," Jessica commanded.
"I killed them. I killed them all."
"We know what happens to murderers. You'll have to swing for it."
FLAVIUSAETIUS HAS BEEN LYNCHED. He was Clarence Beeks, the Vanilla Townie!
GAME HAS ENDED. THE MAFIA HAVE WON!
MOSCOW FLEET SURVIVED! He was Sheriff Tupper, the Mafia Goon!
E.M.C^42 SURVIVED! He was Jessica Fletcher, the Mafia Roleblocker!

well GG @moscow and @emc ! I saw moscow coming, but there was a lot less to grab onto with emc. I really should have seen it coming, but didn't have enough to read on him. @emc you get no more passes on anything.

This was interesting to spectate. Flavius, you need to calm down. Teacon, you nearly had Moscow there, shame you didn't pursue that lead. Well played scum.
Re: M1007 — "Mafia, She Wrote" Game Thread
@Xorx - I think it's fair to say we both have something to learn from that experience. I'm sorry for my part - I got in a tunnel and got out too late, and ended up lynching anyway because I wasn't sure. I hope we have better games together in the future, whether we're lynching each other or not. Peace to you.
@Durga - Sorry for mislynching - I assumed too much because you weren't responding. I should have listened to your responses, but I was very likely busy responding to xorx. I hope you had a good time at that wedding, and that you're doing well.

Re: M1007 — "Mafia, She Wrote" Game Thread
Percy, if you had voted for Moscow then and there (which was the obvious play if that's what you had it down to) then teacon might have followed, and Flavius would have been forced to vote for Moscow as well in self defense.Percy Williams wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2019 9:10 pm
Right now I'm considering two states of the scum team:
Moscow and Flavius
Emc and moscow.
The second one takes a LOT more hoops to jump through though.
Then the last day the two candidates would have been emc vs Flavius, decided by whichever one of you or teacon survived the NK...

Well, first of all, congrats to scum for a well played game. Hitting the two PRs in the first nights was incredible.
Second, and I told this on God thread, next games I will push a policy lynch on anyone that didn't vote during the day (are you reading emc?)....
