Diplomacy Westoros
Has anyone talked about a Diplomacy map that features Westoros? It would be really cool. Just think about being Tywin Lannister as the Westerlands.

Re: Diplomacy Westoros
There is a Game of Thrones board game which is effectively Diplomacy with a bunch of extra rules added on top. Very possible to pick up a copy and play it with regular Diplomacy rules. It comes with a couple of map variants so you can play with fewer players too.
Re: Diplomacy Westoros
I disagree on the variants; they are extremely unbalanced beyond playable.
That said, GoT boardgame is indeed nice. I've played it a lot. Gives that same feeling Diplomacy does and it has some nice features. Takes 6 hours if everyone knows the rules. I would strongly advise against playing it without someone present that knows the rules.

It might give us a better ending than the crap they served up for entire final season..
Re: Diplomacy Westoros
Someone actually did make one, about a year ago :D

Re: Diplomacy Westoros
What about for web diplomacy? Has anyone asked for such a map here? Is anyone working on one?
Re: Diplomacy Westoros
We only offer variants that are carefully selected. A brand new map probably wouldn't stand a chance. I would recommend posting this question on our sister site: https://vdiplomacy.com/Mars Strider wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 3:43 amWhat about for web diplomacy? Has anyone asked for such a map here? Re: Diplomacy Westoros
With all the craze for chaos lately, I had a thought: Westeros Chaos. Each player could take on a different character from GoT and play it out as messy as it should be.

I had also been working on a Westeros variant about 5 years ago before being told that neither WebDip or Vdip would ever host it due to copyright concerns - so I doubt we'd be able to play anything like that in a site format.
