Show and Tell: Stabs
Have a stab you think the WebDip community needs to see? Post a link to the game and details!
I'm offering +1s here... Perhaps even a "stab of the month" award (my respect and disgust [for being so much better at Diplomacy than me...]).

Well not on the site but it was a FTF game tonight where I was Austria and my friend was Turkey and he spent the entire game writing down fake orders on a separate piece of paper and keeping them in his pocket and showed me all of what he was moving then showed me a fake one one fall and gave me the worst stab of my life.

No one wants to show off (TrPrado only got to tell)? I'll link one of mine, then maybe we can get rolling.
Ancient Mediterranean, playing as Carthage: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameI ... #gamePanel
It was a stabby affair overall. Originally allied with Rome, but they missed the build phase in Year 1. Moved towards them in S2, acted like they talked me out of it, then pounced with Greece to take 3 (I got 2) centers in A2.
Executed a big stab on Greece in A7 I had been planning for 3 years for the solo. Used a Persian raider as an excuse to get close with armies, used a Greek fleet to cut support in Egyptian Sea to capture Alexandria as well. Ended up capturing 3 Greek SCs and 5 total in A7 to hit 18.

The whole game, i was allies with Egypt. But at the start at the game, i predented that i was also allied with Carthage. They both went into a war with each other, and i could take sneaky all Carthage's SC's, it looks like Egypt did not care and our relationship was getting better with every move.
Later in the game, i was allied with Greece(and still with Egypt.), at first, i wanted to help Greece with fighting Persia. But then, i stabbed Greece, with Persia's help. Just because it was much easier to expand that way.
After that stab, Egypt did still think i really wanted to work with him(i was at 14 SC's and he at 8 or so), so he kept trusting me. He left everything wide open for me to take everything i wanted.
And in the last move, i stabbed both Egypt and Persia, what i had already planned for years.
I took three of Egypt's SC's, and i took two Persian SC's.
So it was a easy game for me, mainly because Egypt was to naive and kept trusting me.

Me either! Sometimes I have had to cause unexpected SC ownership, though, due to predictions of non-optimal situations developing.

I cant seem to remember one I have done, but usually my stabs aren't that great because I always set up a good border with my alliestobieee911 wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 7:49 amAnybody else who wants to show a good stab to the world?
Re: Show and Tell: Stabs
Can we show off incidents when we ourselves got violently poked? :v

Definitely. If it's good enough, you can win the "Stabbed of the Month Award."

Re: Show and Tell: Stabs
This was a fun game. I took over Turkey in CD with only four centers (Russia had three). Austria alone equaled us with seven sc's. Russia and I set up a comeback Juggernaut and I was able to snag the solo. Biggest stab was Austria who began thinking I was his ally against Russia.

Never stabbed an ally.
I even waited for my ally to complete the 32 SCs to get to a draw.

I concur that Prince Wlliam is the most noble and princely and loyal of allies.PRINCE WILLIAM wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 9:38 amNever stabbed an ally.
