Re: Webdiplomacy Sci-Fi Simulator III Signups
While wandering around the vents... following the squirrel... I take a break, and read my collection of "Shakespeare's Incomplete Works."
And guess what?
Iago is a character in Othello....
Just thought you should know.
I signal this information to the rest of you using Morse Code, tapping on the ductwork.

I also found an issue with the communications equipment... am attempting to remove some non-original tech from the system...
Waiting to see if it is effective...

And let me be more clear... Iago... mysterious "Othello..."

Man, I wish I had paid more attention in Morse Code class instead of daydreaming about dismantling and rebuilding that Python engine...
Are you saying "I go get Jello" or "He ago is a fellow?" I can only pick up a few letters here and there...

sigh
Philistines.
But as you try to tap it your questions to me... it sounds like you are just playing "Ina Goda Davida," or "2001: A Space Oddesey."

Ok... I safely remove the device that was killing our communications.
No human was damaged (or squirrel) in the sparks that sparkled.
BUT
Brainbot has crashed.
##Call Crashedbot
As a brilliant scientist... even though emphasizing genetics... I know a lot about bots.. which ARE like artificial life.
I crawl back out of the vents... and fiddle with the programming of the bot.. hoping to restart it.

Re: Webdiplomacy Sci-Fi Simulator III Signups
I lug the (not too heavy) device to my lab and examine it.
It is clearly Russian made, and had it's origins in ancient attempts by Russians to meddle in other's political situation... It's placement in the guts of our ship are concerning.
I wonder if we should check out the Python? If there is a similar device in Ike's ship, it would need to be hacked, I expect... or EMP'd to disable it.
##Prop 1.8.1 Our Mechanic (Laslo-Thamrick) could attempt a hack
##Prop 1.8.2 Our Mechanic (Laslo-Thamric) could arrange an EMP focused on the device.
##Prop 1.8.3 Let the device be, but don't use the Python until we gain a computer expert.

Wow, thamrick. These are great.thamrick wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 1:55 pmIt's a work in progress, but this might be helpful

As you can tell, I've been very bored today. This is what I can gather so far of the tech tree:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XtGiN ... _A3dm49kny
Dargorygel, our scientist, rushed a tech last turn.
Will we be able to use these workers for construction projects this phase? Also, how many injured workers do we have?
##Vote yes on 1.6.4
##brainbot Remind me how I got us +1 food and +1 credit.
Okay, this is what I think we should do about the traitors. Yavuzovic should shapeshift into Zayne and pilot RagingIke's plane (if he would be so kind as to lend it to yavu for the rest of the phase) to the traitors' hideout. He will bring along 3 soldiers as guards. When he arrives, Yavuzovic should pretend to be Zayne and say that he managed to hijack the plane and that he had also convinced the 3 soldiers to also betray our colony. Yavuzovic will then lure them onto the plane, saying that he's bringing them to dock on Battleship Branimir. Once aboard, the 3 guards and Yavuzovic will tackle the traitors and subdue them, bringing them back to the colony for questioning.RagingIke297 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 11:31 pmI can try to pick up the spies or kill them if we want.
I feel like this is the most fool-proof method, and we can wait a turn to build the mine.
##Proposal 1.7.4 Yavuzovic shapeshifts into Zayne and pilot RagingIke's plane (if he would be so kind as to lend it to yavu for the rest of the phase) to the traitors' hideout. ##Vote yes on Proposal 1.7.4
##Withdraw Proposal 1.6.3
##Vote nay on Proposal 1.7.1, 1.7.2, 1.7.3
##Proposal 1.6.5 Build district
We desperately need to increase our population, and we now have enough workers to build the district now that we aren't building the mine and also have some healed workers.
##Proposal 1.6.6 Send 30 workers to collect flowers.
##Vote yes on Proposal 1.6.5, 1.6.6
Thamrick, please advise what you're doing with your harvester. It is, after all, yours, so you should decide what to do with it.
I seem to recall that Iago betrayed Othello. I wonder if we can get this Iago to do the same thing.dargorygel wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 1:57 amAnd let me be more clear... Iago... mysterious "Othello..."

Re: Webdiplomacy Sci-Fi Simulator III Signups
But I like the plan, other than that.
I wonder about the timing of this. Can we EMP the device, and still have time to do the sneaky sneak into the sneaky rebel's camp?
Seems to me that the EMP would take less time than a hack...
In fact, I have a small EMP device HERE... that I use to heat up odd little microbes.

We oughta wait ten more minutes till brainbot reboots.
I miss him/it.

Re: Webdiplomacy Sci-Fi Simulator III Signups
Ahh, okay. We’ll postpone that mission until the Python is fixed then. Wouldn’t an EMP disable the Python? I’ll trust your professional expertise.dargorygel wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 2:49 amWe need to fix the communications sabotage before anyone uses the Python
Re: Webdiplomacy Sci-Fi Simulator III Signups
You do not have sufficient work force to build both a marsh turbine and a district.
District requires 100 workers
Turbines take 30
Sending 30 to the flowers would put you at 160/112
Plus men yer sending on away mission.
If all these proposals pass brainbot gives priority to oldest prop entered. Meaning youd only build the turbine and gather flowers.

Re: Webdiplomacy Sci-Fi Simulator III Signups
District - 2 Steel, 1 credits, 100 workers. Takes two phases to build. Effect: Increases population +2 per phase.
This is an ambitious idea. But probably something you cant quite pull off yet.

Re: Webdiplomacy Sci-Fi Simulator III Signups
Welcome back Brainbot! Hope you're feeling better.
Okay, so the District is out.
Is the Withdraw proposal order valid? Do we need to resubmit an order to build the Mine? We have the workers to accomplish that.
I wasn't aware we could send workers as soldiers. What is their attack/health?
@leon - I planned on using it to gather 2 food. I could also see the benefit of 2 fuel. I'm not sure if we need the luxury just yet. Does anyone have strong opinions? I'm more than happy to use my harvester for what the group wants.
