that I would like to GM unless someone wants to launch it after this invitiational game.

Not really, but I am not trying to make it complicated or anything. I have a couple of custom roles that I am fleshing out atm for town. No 3rd party, no items, and nothing super complex with the mafia roles.

Theme/Flavor is based on Ace Attorney.

My idea for roles are the following. Again, use of roles would depend on the number of participants. This list is all of the ones I would use if we had enough people to include them all. Feedback appreciated btw.

Mafia team would be this:
Assassin (One day-kill, also performs NK.)
Hooker (Roleblock. Becomes Goon if Assassin and Janitor are lynched/killed.)
Lawyer (in replace of godfather. Cannot self-protect. Totally on-theme btw)
Janitor (One use hide of a NK. Becomes Goon if Assassin is lynched/killed. Janitor'd kill reveals nothing to the Forensic Investigator.)
Framer (Targets a player, they report back as guilty if scanned that night. Only will be used if a large group of people sign up.)

Town PRs:
Judge (My custom - twice per game, can target two players during day and those two targets are the only options for the lynch. Must be used 6 hours before EOD. Any vote not on the two targets is not counted, but counts towards participation requirements in the game. Targeting would count towards Forensic Investigator's results)
Bailiff (Jailer role but also knows who the Judge is. Able to once per game execute a person they jailed.)
Cop (Reports back Guilty or Not Guilty.)
Tracker (Learns who a player targeted, but not what action that player performed)
Forensic Investigator (Discovers who targeted/visited a killed player during the entire game. Order is randomized upon reveal. Dead Player must be dead for a phase - example, if killed on N1 they would need to wait until N3 to get a result off. Janitor'd kills reveal nothing.)

Again, feedback greatly appreciated.

Oh, I forgot - town would have an Oracle that upon certain deaths, reveals players.
If lynched, they reveal one target.
If killed (non-lynch), reveals two targets.

And clarification - jailer has to execute the person they put in jail that night. They cannot execute any target they ever jailed.

Or can't you make this game lighter. I liked judge - it's power can still work even if mafia have equal vote power. But I have a slight, little, optional objection; some roles in mafia pool are like put to be put, I mean you don't have to make all scumteam PRs. This is optional but I'd recommend changing one or two into Goons.

Isn't brains game the vanilla one lol? Whoever really wants to do vanilla should gm it lol. Imo vanilla games are boring. Worcej you should gm your game after whoever wants to gm the vanilla one lol.

No point in dumbing this potential setup down for whoever the mystery vanilla person is. Just, save it until after they get their way.

Yeah my thoughts exactly let the vanilla person run their game. Yours looks good do it after Worcej.
