Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
The Traitor (of which our Assassin is a variant), is in some ways, the hardest scum role to catch. Because they don't know their team-mates, don't have access to the QT and, until the rest of the Maf are gone, have no control over the NK.
What we do know is that Xorxes knew the Assassin's identity from the outset. Is it worth looking back at Xorxes?

Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
Does xorxes link himself to people? He's very catchable in his own right because he's too nice for this world, but I've never found his flips turning us onto good new leads unless his teammates interacted with him like idiots. Why him and not worcej or Vecna?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:04 amThe Traitor (of which our Assassin is a variant), is in some ways, the hardest scum role to catch. Because it's not guaranteed Xorxes told them. Possibly he avoided doing so, to avoid connections. I dunno. He's the best starting point out of the three dead scum, though.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:08 amDoes xorxes link himself to people? Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
I'm sick of this constant negativity towards me from Ghug. Really I am. Sick of it. My gut tells me Ghug is the last scum. But I'm actually trying to review all the evidence, look for any missed clues, properly hunt the final scum. You'd think Ghug would be supportive of this if he was town and didn't want to be mislynched. But no, nothing but negativity.
I'm this close to saying "ok then Ghug, have it your way, I'll stop trying, and we'll just lynch you."
Is that what you want? Is it?

Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
I've gone like three levels in the direction of brown nosing since it became apparent that I actually have to survive this game to win it. I asked a legitimate question and gave legitimate thoughts. I didn't know that only xorxes knew.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:18 amI'm sick of this constant negativity towards me from Ghug. Really I am. Sick of it. I think it's worth assuming xorxes told his team. If he didn't, then the assassin has almost no connections, and we're probably completely screwed. I also think it's likely that he'd inform his team, because that's generally a wiser decision, and Vecna and worcej are decent enough players.
Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
ghug is incredibly pure in his posts, it's killing me!
I'm a sucker for these things
but then I remember Quas...
also back to Neph, I'm thinking he was fine with thamrick and his herb because he didn't want to seem nervous and blow his cover?
Anyway, I'm saying in advance, congrats to last scum even if you're caught, you are good at blending in
order Neph > ghug but watch me change it again, I MUST look again at Neph next phase
also ghug/Jamiet, if you're both town, it's time to set aside all differences and try to work together, we're close to winning and we don't want to let feelings interfere

Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
So Xorxes only made reference to Neph twice, both on N1.
On Page 52 he agreed with Squigs that Neph's play was off, and remarked that Neph is "always active".
On Page 65 his view was changing very slightly. When discussing who to lynch, he said "Maybe Neph but now he's looking a little better."
Neph had made several long posts on Page 64 so possibly Xorxes noticed this, and that's all there is to it.
None of this helps, and that's all there is.
What about Xorxes and Quas?

On N1 Xorxes said:
"Don't lynch Vapor, Bozo, rivera, Vecna, Squigs or Jamiet tomorrow."
That's the only relevant reference to Vaporwave.
Huh. Well this revealed nothing; you were right Ghug.

Have you thought of looking at his interactions rather than just reads?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 2:01 amOn N1 Xorxes said:

Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
Actually, just thinking, seeing as Jamie/Ezio are TC, is there any point in no-lynching tomorrow? Having a guaranteed town as an extra vote cant hurt right?
Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
So plan from here,
1) Wait for ghug to make his mind up
2) Vote elsewhere
3) Win

I wasn't just looking at reads. That was the whole thing.Nephthys wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 2:23 amHave you thought of looking at his interactions rather than just reads?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 2:01 amOn N1 Xorxes said:

I honestly don't know what he means, but I hope this isn't the game solve, cause it seems way too calculated/trying to be funny to be meaningful.

Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
Well, I think that Nephthys is the remaining scum.
His plan "wait to see who Ghug will vote for and then vote elsewhere" does not come from a town mindset.
If you sincerely believe Ghug to be scum, you'd advocate "vote for Ghug" rather than just "vote elsewhere than where Ghug votes".
As for advocating a No-Lynch? We have two townclears. One will be NKed tonight. It's actually in Mafia's interests to have a No-Lynch tomorrow, allowing the second townclear to by NKed, and then leaving the Assassin and two non-clears - only one of whom would need to vote the wrong way to enable the Assassin to win.
Nephyhys's posts on the last page betray a non-town mindset.
He is the last one.
Unless the Information Kit is claimed and reveals new information, I'd be ok to lynch him tomorrow.

Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
1) It was clearly a joke, I already made the joke how the last three would be me, the guy I've wanted to lynch for days and the guy who thinks I suck at this game.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 3:38 amWell, I think that Nephthys is the remaining scum.

2) I was the first to mention actually lynching tomorrow.
Also are you genuinely saying that I was involved in the lynch of all my teammates.
If you wanna put your hand up to throw the game for town be my guest.
Re: MAFIA 44: 'DREAMLAND' GAME THREAD
Entertainingly, my POE was down to Quas/Vapor when Percy claimed so I'm happy to know that I got all scum this game.
