Why is it pointless to ask Percy why he was so comfortable to sheep Ike?

The alien can choose not to infect anyone, and he may not have infected anyone N1 with the day 3 plan already discussed. Also, I do not think it is a good idea to let worcej decide who he wants to lynch at EOD. The alien plan work as well, if not better, on day 4.
