If mafia have that item and they find a PR they have close to an autowin if they steal the gun. I think it's absolutely correct to minimize the chances of that happening.

Squigs, I'm a big fan of Occam's Razor, and if I'm steering this ship I wouldn't expect him to drop his effort level as scum but raise it. That seems to be the simplest way to correct that issue from his perspective. Given his post literally just before you referred me to the above one, I imagine he’s planning to step it up. Perhaps he realized he needed to, or perhaps he’s simply taking the right response to boredom - play harder. I don’t know which it is.

I did get a maybe-scum vibe from him as I reread the latter stages of D1, but he didn’t really do anything that stuck out to me. If you have more, post it.

How could someone else show up as a goo pile? There's only one of those guns.

isn't there a synthesizer thingy that gives someone an option of a gun? So I'm believing for now that Ezio was the original one randed with gun, rather than someone giving him that option tonight + he using it

but the more I think the more tinfoil this train of thought feels xD

Not as much as I'd like.

I liked the cases on darg, obviously. He was also a player who I didn't think had particularly many connections to players other than me, so I figured he was as good a shot as any and better than most. I was looking at the votes on his wagons d1 and I didn't think there was much to be gained from verifying his flip, but I could be persuaded I was better off just shooting a lurker.

I believe the gun generated by the item is a regular gun that flips player's alignment.

The synthesizer gun is not a ray gun as far as I can tell, and I don't think it could have been used N1.

My 50-50 estimation seems much more reasonable than your 100-0.

Anyways, that's water under the bridge. I think you would have shot someone else if you were mafia, and in any case you probably wouldn't have claimed the gun, so I think you're likely town (and a very marginal chance you're alien).

and it's not weird at all to want to appear scummy xD, don't see a difference in what you did and I did -- only difference is I've outright stated I do beforehand, which has either increased or decreased how much certain people scum read me

it was actually rather helpful to me in determining 1) How wifom-y people get, 2) how much of what they say they take at face value + how they take blatant uttering, and stuff I said to Tham earlier.
