This seems like a very pointless question.

Why would the GM allow someone to keep posting after they died?

I was not sure because the item description says the player will still be "listed" until after EOD. If a scum received the Alien Ray Gun, xorxes may already be dead.

I thought about this, too. And it might allow me to change my vote by EoD. But the alien-cop can scan one person. After two days, there'll be two people he has to scan, and if he scans 'alien' all that will mean is that the scanee has a 50% chance of being an alien (basically an innocent virus carrier. He is not evil. Just his vote won't count till the original alien is dead.) The FIRST day, the alien-cop might get lucky. And then do some good, as he can tell us whom he scanned. Unless he is NKed. Our one SURE chance to get the alien is now.

If lynching Ezio is a sure chance to get alien today, wouldn't it also be a sure chance any other day? Alien doesn't change

but why do you WANT to keep the alien alive?

If Ezio ISN'T the alien, then the cop can't out that anyways otherwise the alien than knows who the cop is and just infects/shoots them with an item or whatever

if they DO return positive, then we gained nothing

it's a lose/neutral situation for having the cop scan

I have seen this argument used in three different games

two of the three it undeniably backfired on town because wolves just kept saying "hah yeah no we can lynch them later" until lylo and then town was freaked as hell, the only time that wasn't the case was when the scum in question was a specific role that transferred to other mafia members when that player died, and it was still arguably correct to lynch them anyways as we could have then mechanically outed other scum

everyone that is arguing to not lynch Ezio is saying "well there's no benefit in lynching him now over later"

which is to a point, true. BUT IF YOU'RE ARGUING THIS, THEN YOU HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS NO BENEFIT TO LYNCHING THEM LATER THEN NOW

PLUS if we lynch today we have less info to go off of for flips and associatives, LESS posts to read players off of, LESS of everything. AND a higher town to scum ratio almost certainly, so WHY do we want to lynch into a player TODAY instead of TOMORROW, when we will have almost guaranteed one town flip to use to our advantage?

It literally makes no sense, and it's PRO SCUM to leave Ezio alive today

I also agree with Qas, I was expecting Ezio to retract and if he doesn't retract I think lynching him now is the best choice (probably shooting him is even better).
