I didn't think this thread could devolve any further, and yet here we are

Let's not treat it as devolving - but entertain the thought. If I was a conservative scum and saw that the pool was shrinking down, this is exactly what I would do.

I would need to try to lead. I would try to find issues and attack other conservative claimed players I know. I would build town credit to get me until later.

Let's be real - the scum will always NK a non-conservative player for the foreseeable future.

I like to think of it less as a case and more of a theory. Scum can't play their normal game here, Xorxes is a smart guy and he know that so what does he do? Powerwolfs to get himself cleared in a pool where there should be a bunch of scum

Base everything on meta and you're going to get burnt, I'm an ideas man, the idea is to get people talking by putting out some hail Mary theories and discussing them.

There was incredible value by revealing the parties, because it narrowed the scum pool down for town. But if I was scum in the conservative pool, I would know that I need to come off as town as possible and try to get the cred to live as long as possible. I would try to direct the lynches as best as possible and find the party cop.

Vecna's cop was a PR hunter only, which had more chance to hit town than scum. The party cop is incredibly dangerous for the non-conservative players because you get a party result and their non-cons scum is the only member of said party.

A lot of players are passive in hunting and will do what sounds the most reasonable.

Then there are players like you, who dismiss any possibility that exists. You think 'crazy' strategies are never valid and a distraction.

Remember the facts:
1. 4/10 players in the conservative group started as scum.
2. Town would have no incentive to lie on party claims.
3. Once a list is generated, town immediately know you have good odds to hit most of the scum team quickly.
4. Best way to avoid random hit - come out and lead the town as scum.
