im curious, what are the prerequisetes for hosting/being the gm of a game!

Basically right now it is just a community decision thing. Most people are expected to play in a few games and maybe even be a coGM before GMing yourself. But if you have experience on another site, especially GM experience, then you could probably get in line.

There is no hard and fast rule, but at the very least, you have to have played in several games on this site (I would suggest a minimum of five). Since we're pretty much self-policing nowadays, you also need to be able to persuade other members that you'll be a competent GM (so that they will join your game, and respect your authority). And, you need to wait for a spot to come available. It is usually a good idea to co-GM with a more experienced GM for your first one.

I will happily talk to you more about this after the game, but for now I'd advise you (all) to concentrate on the game at hand.
