Yes, it is a very American thing to mix "liberal" with "leftist". In the UK the liberals are centrists. In Australia, the liberals are conservatives.

I found a minor flaw in my plan: If every town (except for the Party Cop) is required to tell the truth, then at the end of the day scum will know if the PC has lied or not, and so they will know in which side of the house they have to look for them.

Fortunately there's an easy fix: Only conservative townies (other than the PC) are required to be truthful. Most non-conservatives should also be truthful (so as not to add noise into the scumpool) but one or two should probably lie and say they're conservatives, as that helps protect the valuable PC. This way scum don't know where to look for the PC, because they don't know if they lied or not.

Non-conservatives claiming conservative doesn't affect the reliability of the PC's scans. They scan in the non-conservative pool and if they get conservative (or DUP) it's a guilty and if they get anything else it's a clear.

Town has no way of knowing when "one or two" non-conservatives have claimed conservative, so I do not see how this modification could be successfully implemented. Too many non-conservatives claiming conservative will minimize the benefits of the plan.

There are ~15 pages I need to read, but my first line of thoughts are the claims mafia team have are most likely all a different party (that would make it the most hard and fair), therefor I agree with the labor party people should come out and claim, that should in theory give 6 town clears, including one meh PR.

That could be (assuming Squigs was using Ombudsman to imply one of the other PRs), but if so, why would you blow it into the open like that? That says to me that you don't think Squigs was actually crumbing... (Or maybe you were joking with your assertion?)

Correct, therefore use your judgement.

Main thing is that the 4 conservative backbenchers claim conservative.

The PM should probably claim conservative but there may be reasons not to, so it's up to them.

The Party Cop should probably NOT claim conservative but there may be reasons for them to claim conservative, so it's up to them.

Every other townie should claim non-conservative unless they think it's a good idea for them to mess with Mafia, which may not be a bad idea for one or two to do. Use your judgement.

As for Mafia, I'm not going to tell them what their best strategy is. Anyone who discusses their best strategy is scummy.

I will assume that anyone who has not claimed before EOD is claiming non-conservative by default.
