I'm happy to claim xorx because I can't see the downfall. Though now knowing mafia have fake claims I don't really see the benefit either. It's probably all going to be a wash, and maybe even a distraction.

I'm conservative. I'm sure that makes jamiet chuckle.

The benefit is that the cop doesn't need to waste scans on people who claim conservative. Those scans don't give any information.

Also, knowing how many people claimed conservative, we know eactly how many liers are on each side, narrowing down the possibilities of scum teams quite a bit.

The cop remains well hidden because they are free to claim whatever side they want, so Mafia doesn't really get any info about them from this.

All of the Mafia is conservative (or DUP, which amounts to the same thing.)

Yes, DUP is the only Mafia that can be certified by the Party Cop, and my plan admittedly gives them some protection, but it exposes all the others more, so I think it's worth it.
