Oh my. This is perfect.

Truly, the only thing more satisfying than recognition by one's peers is a petty personal slight by one's passive aggressive tormentor. I wear JMO's refusal to pat me on the head as a badge of honor and a profile headliner. No amount of Webdiplomacy funny money can buy that amount of righteous indignation.

A hearty congratulations to Durga and Claesar for their FtF tournament successes and their Webdiplomacy banner triumphs. You reflect well on all of us, and your successes encourage others to give face-to-face Diplomacy a try.

Perhaps a “pat on the head” forum icon (but no points!) could be given out for F2F accomplishments that are not officially recognized, like for top board at the WDC, or even for topping a top board without winning the tournament...

Jmo is on a break. But jmo will throw up a banner if a mod sends him the text it should have

As long as the tournament results have been confirmed any mod should be able to award the point payouts that were mentioned too.

It was intense, often stressful, and a complete nail biter of a competition. But those couple weeks of recognition makes it all worth while.
