@Worcej: On page 50 you said you thought one of the following was scum, lurking in the background of EoD1:

"Damo, ND (now flash), Demon, darg, DrCJG, and DT"

Now, we know that DrCJG was town, and Demon probably is.

Do you think that Damo, Flash, Darg, or DT is most likely to be scum out of that group?

Apologies for a late reply - just got to work for a night shift after attending a funeral today. Since you've asked this, we now know that DT was town, so my list is shorter.

If lurking is the chief function of scum, which is always a shit reason on the surface, then Demon would fit the best bill so far. I think the only thing Demon has really done was the gladiator, which is NAI. He had direct interaction with Squigs, again NAI, and posted some read lists on D1.

Damo has been, well, damo. Bad D1 play (normal for him) and limited D2/N2 play, with nothing so far. I don't like how he plays, but that isn't anything alignment specific.

Flash replaced ND, who did nothing other than vote for Squigs at first then Jaime, and has pretty much just been trying to understand the game and has now weighed in on the mass claims idea for today. Not that it's scummy, but it isn't much.

Darg's pushes for a potential Mass Claim early, which was this:

Hey... I thought about suggesting a mass claim.
It seems town beneficial. Info known is better for town.

I think I am fine with this... although I don't know what "running" it means. But don't reveal your idea yet.

I, too, withdraw my support of the mass claim idea. All it will do is give info to scum, instead of leaving them guessing. It still would enable us to have our powers work together... but re-reading the roll doc, I don't see any tricksy way to use that knowledge. :-/

Now with us knowing that scum/SK have a list of roles to claim in such an event, leads me to think Darg's position was sketch as shit - it makes me think the D1 comment was an attempt to get the town roles as scum.

So, to finally get to the meat of your question, I am inclined to look at Damo/Demon/Flash as poor participants, without anything outright AI done yet. Darg's change in reasoning today with his comment on D1 seems artificial, thus scummy.

I know we have a push on Fox for now, but I will be the first to start ##vote Darg

It will allow you to look at all posts, go back multiple days, and see the vote order/timing.

Also, it will give you a semi-accurate track of votes at the time. The GM has the final say, but usually the bot has it right.

In this game, I am wondering if we have reached the point where scum would lurk less. The lurking method has not been as effective lately, perhaps because it has become the 'norm.' While scum still might lurk, we should not fail to look among the big posters. Because it is NOT true that "Scum always lurk."

GG isn't out of her scum meta at all rn, I seem to have lost my ability to read her well but I'm positive her wolf game is along these lines. Just hard to differentiate between that and one of her weaker town games? tbh when I talk abt it more she feels more like a wolf I'm just giving her time to catch up since 48 hr phase and all

worce is playin a good game, town or scum

darg/flash/gg is a reasonable scum team and any one could be replaced with someone like bozo or damo, who I need to scour through more

at this point we don't really have the opportunity to play around one of jamie/worc/neph being a wolf so I'm locking them in in my book (unless we pull this back with the SK)

SK is somewhere in this list, maybe foxc? You can't really hunt for an SK tho they should be playing as town does so just hunt for wolves and leave that to scum's NKs and if you hit the SK it's a bonus, generally proper play as town regarding an SK

I'm gonna place my vote on one of darg/flash/gg almost every time tomorrow (after reading through damo again) when I wake up, hopefully one of them has posted since then :)

I think one of the reasons that this game is so hard is that we have such little engagement... We have live players like RHK that have been missing for OVER 2 days. That is not something that is conducive to solving, or even making progress.

Quas raises a good point. While it possible that people like him are scum, I think we need to be focusing on others right now.

I will look over this tomorrow morning and have a look. Feel free to flick any questions my way and I promise I will answer them all.

Yes... wolf is scum.

And yes... I have been less than intensely engaged in this game. First, RL... just like a lot of people. But secondly, the madness of the untraditional rolls is making it hard to find connections and motivations. Combined with the SK killing alongside the NK, making motivation and deduction/induction that much harder.

No excuse though. I'll try to engage more.
