oh fuck I just saw the flips, tbh both feel weird I don't know who the wolves would kill there?
I mean prolly vecna but still

Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
I'm not sure I agree here, there were a few of us that were scumreading Vecna somewhat. I think that means it was the SK who wanted to confirm and potentially take out a scum. Right now the SK's motivation aligns pretty strongly with town, they cant win if scum get the majority.
I am 95% sure that scum killed DT.

I mean yes but it's a role madness game if you're signing up for it to be balancedJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:33 pmThis setup is seriously not balanced. Two kills per night without a Doctor always in play, and if the SK targets town, town basically just lies down and dies unless they can lynch scum or SK every day.
you're in the wrong place
also I will restate that SK wants to be targeting town as it's really hard for them to win late game if there are a bunch of surviving wolves

Vecna is a braggart but he's intelligent and he understands how the game works. I think he was a fearkill by scum, yes.
Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
that's why I'm confused tho, dt feels like a pretty bad kill just based on posts? Is there a role cop potentially I haven't read the sheet lmaoNephthys wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:04 amI'm not sure I agree here, there were a few of us that were scumreading Vecna somewhat. Wolves might have been SK hunting actually that would make sense, I think it's pretty WIFOM tho

Yes, but there's setups that are slightly unbalanced because they're swingy.... and then there's this one, which is stacked against the town by the way it's designed... and by the GM apparently designing secret extra resources to help the scum counteract particular town strategies. I agree it was easy to miss, but there were a number of things only in the sign up thread, and you seemed to know everything else about the setup.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:51 pmBrainbomb forgot to put this detail in the rules. I did read them. It was not mentioned there. It was only mentioned in the sign-up thread, but there were numerous rule and setup changes as the sign-ups progressed.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:50 pmI do not think you are scum, but I find a few things suspicious enough that I consider you a scum suspect. Specifically, you claimed you did not know there was a mafia day chat after saying early on that you reviewed the rules thoroughly, and you helped get ghug lynched implying you took his scum claim seriously.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 10:29 pm@Bozo:

Why do you think CrimsonFox is town?
Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
if you're talking about fake claims, that's standard practice in balanced game. If town can massclaim and win games then the game is no fun for anyoneJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:06 amYes, but there's setups that are slightly unbalanced because they're swingy.... and then there's this one, which is stacked against the town by the way it's designed... and by the GM apparently designing secret extra resources to help the scum counteract particular town strategies. Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
This seems contradictory, did you mean to say SK should be targeting scum? It is impossible for the SK to win if it comes down to just him and scum, so he should be targeting scum at this point.LordQuas wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:04 amI mean yes but it's a role madness game if you're signing up for it to be balancedJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:33 pmThis setup is seriously not balanced. dt is probably killed if they copped him n1, he's a reasonable role cop and jk is an important target

I took no information from the sign-up sheet.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:06 amI agree it was easy to miss, but there were a number of things only in the sign up thread, and you seemed to know everything else about the setup.
I read the rules post in detail, I read the roles document in detail. There were lots of gaps, so I asked lots of questions on page 1. In none of that was there any information about a Mafia daychat. You are focussing on the wrong thing. That is all.

fuck you punk. stop signing up for games then.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:46 pmI am very interested in solving the game. someone else said that someone's Vanilla Town claim was in fact an admission of guilt because there "weren't enough town claims left". This was news to me, buttercup.
Which is why I wondered if there were in fact that many town claims as it was a good observation if so.
But as I hadn't seen that happen I wanted to verify it.
never i repeat never badmouth people that are actually trying to run games for people

No. The potential role cop, if there is one, is not activated in the first two eras.LordQuas wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:10 amdt is probably killed if they copped him n1, he's a reasonable role cop and jk is an important target
