I would like to hear more from ND, it looks like all he's talked about is tossing out an anchor, Jamie and Squiggs
I'd like to hear more from Ezio too, given his history of being a bullet magnet

Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
Convinced of what? I am not trying to convince anybody.
I don't pretend I can get a solid read on people on D1. The one I feel more off is Bozo, but I am also disliking Squigs posting almost nothing and vanishing. I got a town feeling from Nephthys, you and Jamiet. The newcomers from MU made me raise an eyebrow, but nothing that make me want to push them. And the others just didn't made a strong impression to me.
I should have a read on Xorxes, but after the two games we played at same time I just can't read him. But he will be sorted, he never survive long if he is town (this is for you Brain....).

I don't want to shut you up because you talk. I want to shut you up because you're annoying and unhelpful as town, and able to hide behind that fact as scum. The only thing separating you from ND is your blessed cultural Marxism.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 5:18 pmHa, ironic since earlier you wanted less discussion.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 5:04 pm
My alignment usually outs within a few days, and I'm a valuable generator of discussion. You should shoot someone quiet.
I'd best describe you as a null I'd like killed by policy while I don't have better reads, but you ain't happening today.

Ezio has been uncharacteristically inoffensive today, now that I think about it.RagingIke297 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 5:25 pmI would like to hear more from ND, it looks like all he's talked about is tossing out an anchor, Jamie and Squiggs

I see you, Ghug.
I see your huffy, pink little face, the air escaping out of it in an indignant screech as if your entire head is a whoopee cushion. You’re pretending to be livid again, aren’t you?
You get to be you, that is truer than true, for there’s no-one on earth who's more Ghuggles than you. You’re all raised hackles and spittle but your anger is fake.
I feel like Ike would be doing you a favour if he shot you right now, doing all of us a favour in fact, by putting us out of your misery.

You seem townie. Others have already pointed out that Persia's best move is to try to draw the NK, so I'm not sure what to think of your claim. Certainly, it could be a fake claim, but even if you are Persia, you could be doing something more interesting, I guess (including sowing doubt about whether you actually are Persia).
Why did you think you needed to improve you odds of survivability? You haven't been in any danger of being voted, and announcing that you're Persia simply tells the scumteam that they have to wait to kill you.

The more I think about this Mayan calendar thing, the more pointless and anti-town it seems. The Mayan has to activate it 23 hours before it actually takes effect, so the player has no way of actually exerting any control over the effect of the power unless they declare they've used it. Potentially somewhat useful in scum hands, unfortunately.

I feel like Vecna is talking more to people and less about people than usual.

##VOTE DOUBTING THOMAS
He had the opportunity to participate. He said "hello". He left.
Ghug isn't taking off so I'll leave it up to Ike whether Ghug lives or dies.
Let's see if some pressure will draw Thomas out from whatever rock he crawled under.

Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
An interesting observation.
What could this mean?
Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
Best guess, it's him caring more about influencing people, which I think is scummy I usually ascribe his lack of interactivity to timezones and find it unhelpful, so it could just be an attempt to improve play, but I tend to like Vecna's play more when he's scum, which again points back to scumminess. It could also be me reading too much into things that aren't there.

Why'd you +1 him several times overnight?

Ezio is lurking around, and he hasn't suggested a no lynch, leaning toward an Ezio shot

Fair question. I wanted to see if he would react. He did not.

Ezio has taken more shots to the face than a German pornstar
Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
Time has got a little behind me and I need to prepare then drive up to my college so very real chance I can't make EoD
I see bozo wagon has developed, I don't know if I feel so great on that it was more of a pressure vote but I don't know a better option atm

Are you confident rdrivera is town? He probably is, because if he was scum he would likely be bussing a teammate.worcej wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 4:05 pmOnly if it comes with Honey.
@Ike - I am going to throw my 'vote' that you should probably not shoot a wagon near EOD and instead go for someone you think would provide connections/clears. That probably isn't much help, but it narrows it down to me wanting to see ghug, damo, Jaime, and Vecna, listed in order of who I would target.
That being said, of the wagons, I am inclined to ##vote bozo. I don't think Neph is being inherently scum like others do and the fact RDR points to bozo as playing scum, since he was scum with him last, has me more concerned. ghug seems like a non-wagon, and as I stated would be one of the ideal shot targets, so not going to plant my vote there.

Re: Mafia 41 - Sid Meiers Civilizaton Mafia - Official Game Thread
My point was I would rather see Vecna shot instead of a random shot that is most likely to hit town. I do not think that is a waste of a shot, because if not for Vecna saying he can't be killed D1, I would advocate for not shooting D1.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 4:22 pmSquigs, in addition to not answering my question about where his Bad Cop persona has gone to, has been uncharacteristically quiet. Where are you?
I don't think LordQuas is scum. I mean, he seems good enough that he's not clear or anything, but I don't see scum there. Cfox, though, makes me a little suspicious. He seems like he's played before (with LordQuas?) but hasn't really done much here. I know he's getting used to a new forum/etc, but if he's played before, it makes me suspicious that he hasn't participated more usefully.
Jamiet is too angry to be scum. But also, too angry to be useful.
Couple of things on Bozo... Criticizing Jamiet for having a high number of scum reads: it's so early, and it's Jamiet, and there's not actually anything wrong with identifying a lot of scummy behavior. Bozo isn't saying Jamiet is wrong, but is attacking him for a structural reason. Also, Bozo is usually much more process-oriented when it comes to shooting/lynching people. The proposal to shoot Vecna to test the Persia claim and then lynch Vecna anyway seems like a great way to waste a gunshot and then lynch a townie if you know Vecna is town. (I only iso'd Bozo, I should have read Vecna in there to get a better idea of that whole conversation...)
For now, I'll ##VOTE BOZO
