The “Friend” Coalition: There is no leader in this coalition. To join a coalition, PM the GM ##Friend [player]. If two players friend each other, they both gain 8 points. If a player gives their friendship and it is not reciprocated, they do not gain any points, and their target gains 2 points.
The “Double Gamble” Coalition: This coalition has a normal leader and anyone can join it. Each player in a gamble coalition where n is divisible by 3 gains 12 points, while players in gamble coalition not divisible by 3 gain 0 points.

If you aim for a tie then you have to agree on a number to reach, and then its easy to betray the other coalition and get one more person. I'd rather tie than lose but I don't think we'd be able to aim for it

I presume people will expect me to like the Double Gamble, but I do not. Far too messy. Besides, the math is far different.
Double Gamble:
66% chance of 0 points
33% chance of 12 points
Expected value is 3 points
Single Gamble (from last round):
50% chance of 2 points
50% chance of 8 points
EV is 5 points
I'd like to find a friend. If no suitable courter is found, I'll join the Mob. Though I estimate it's EV at 3 points as well, it makes sense when you're in the lead. Guaranteed points are better than a lottery. Surely less than half the people will join the mob.. Especially when some people don't join any coalition

For those who think they can coordinate the Double Gamble in this group, good luck! Ike and I were clueless how many people were with us last round. No number between 2 and 5 would've surprised me, though I was expecting there to be three with a rather large confidence interval. Guess I counted in Ezio?

I might join the Mob, just because the friend coalition is too easy to get screwed over by someone else and the gambling seems too risky
