Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Squigs, why are you being more interrogative than usual? Or feel free to explain why I'm wrong about that.
You're right, of course, that we need to be scumhunting, but you seem more demanding than usual, especially on less than 24 hours accumulation of opening day material...

Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
My last two games were as an oracled PR and as scum. I'm hungry to solve. Add to that the fact that we are in a game with all highly experienced players, and we are going to need a lot of discussion and interaction to catch scum. Looking at the player list, we don't have a brainbomb, Jamie, etc to create drama or events worth discussing. My aggression is an attempt to generate discussion, wagon movement, push people into uncomfortable situations, etc. I think this is the best way to gather info and catch scum in this set up.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 9:27 pmSquigs, why are you being more interrogative than usual? I think most people are comparing me against my meta in the last two games. I'm probably closer to my tiny hunt meta, when I was top poster in that game.

Why are you voting Squigs Tom? Naked votes are great, but I don't want to see you naked right now.

Squiggles is too explainy
Fox, what makes Ezio's suggestion more out of character than Bozo's?

Is that the best reason you have to vote for someone?

I'm pressure voting during the first 24 hours of the day? Do you really think my vote is any scummier than most of the others, or are you OMGUSing?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 10:06 pmIs that the best reason you have to vote for someone?

For the record, I think Damian is probably scummiest at this point, but since he already had pressure, I'm pushing it elsewhere.
Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
I think Bozo is more mechanics minded in general, and I think no-lynch fits into that view, but I want to know more about what he's thinking there, since even I don't think no-lynch is a great idea for this game.
Generally, I think Ezio is more prone to sitting back and not trying to lead town or come up with weird plans. (His predisposition to no-lynch aside...) So that he put a kinda wacky plan out there there seems out of character, and he even noted that it might have been one of his biggest posts ever. So either he's scum and trying to do something unexpected to make us think that he's town because scum wouldn't draw attention to themselves like that and townies are known to want to try new plans; or he's town and genuinely thinks we have a better shot if we eliminate the best/worst scum/town players. And when you put it like that, it kinda points to scum, but see also the point where I think Ezio is smarter than that... But then, that's exactly the trap I warned about falling into...
Hey Bozo, can you give us a better explanation for why no-lynch is a good idea here?

I think it is an easy vote, something a scum might want to do. I like you as a counterwagon to damian right now.Squigs44 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 10:19 pmI'm pressure voting during the first 24 hours of the day? Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
We have a good chance of lynching town D1, and we do not even know what happens after that. Do we just go into D2? Do the scum have actions that occur at EOD? Are any scum actions limited to one a day, or once a game? Without knowing how or when the scum can kill, not lynching D1 could give us more time.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 10:20 pmI think Bozo is more mechanics minded in general, and I think no-lynch fits into that view, but I want to know more about what he's thinking there, since even I don't think no-lynch is a great idea for this game.

Re: Mafia Invitational - Welcome to Wakanda
Yeah,. It seems like the explanation is more important than the logic itself, which rubs me the wrong way.Fluminator wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 9:48 pmIs this scum indicative?

This seems like a logical extension of the xorxes logic he tries to push every game. It's kinda dumb, but I think it's consistent with how he thinks about the game. I also think talking more is town indicative for him.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 02, 2018 10:20 pmI think Bozo is more mechanics minded in general, and I think no-lynch fits into that view, but I want to know more about what he's thinking there, since even I don't think no-lynch is a great idea for this game.
