Bozo suggestion is so atrocious that I tend to townread him on this, you need to be really bold to suggest something like that as scum.
This needs to stop being a thing on Webdip. Every game someone announces they have a stupid plan and get towncred for it. Scum could be pretty comfortable doing this with how much Webdip eats it up. And a scummate could be pretty comfortable using the same party line that's been used for years to townread his buddy.

I hope for Bozo and Rdrivera's sake they aren't scum together again.
This doesn't make sense. If you are town you should want me and Bozo to be that bad as scum, but you know it isn't the case.

And I don't remember a scum presenting a bad plan like this to get towncred on other games, but you can point me to where it happened.

I don't like Damians play at all, but I also don't like having such a runaway wagon early.

##Vote Foxy

Three longer posts focused more on mechanics? Give us more, Foxy.
It's been barely 20 hours and I'm having a busy weekend. You'll get more from me by tomorrow, though I expect to be around some later this afternoon/evening, also.

And mechanics/setup discussion is fine. We need to understand what we're dealing with, and we have to assume the scum team knows more than us given their day chat. And I'm better thinking about systems than people, anyway. I'll have more to say about the people side of the equation when I've had a chance to read a little deeper than the random votes, awkward hellos, and bad plans.

I’m pretty high key offended that Ezio says kill the bad scumhunters and votes me first :(
That vote for you was just because you voted Xorxes.
That's an excellent reason. Two townie notches.

So true.

That doesn't happen so often though.

I'll keep an eye on that.

Is Damian always this wordy?
Last game with Damian he was exactly this scummy day 1 and he got wagoned. It turned out he just wanted to be scum read and did too good a job. I'm a little confused why he'd be doing it again, but I think he's good enough at scum he wouldn't be this suspicious? It's all wifom for now.

Foxcastle is the only person here who I have a shallow meta pool on. Does he usually waste time this early?

I skimmed damian's play from M33 where he was town. I was also in that game but didn't remember him much. But his style is pretty different. I don't know what he looks like as scum, but his play here doesn't look like a rusty version of his play in M33. It's more banter and more jokey. It's possible that he's been out of things long enough (a year) that he's just awkward on reentry, or it's possible he's just awkward as scum. Also, he's consistent; if it's rust, it's gone deep, because he's got the 2nd most posts, but it's the same tone as when he started.

Squigs seems much more pointed than he's been in previous games. Sorry you didn't enjoy being a PR in my game, Squigs, but I really hope that experience wasn't so traumatic as to reset your whole meta...

Also, on Squigs' point on people getting towncred for stupid plans. Scum have done this recently—I think it was teacher (or was it thamrick?) a few games ago who had some "everyone make hypothetical claims" scheme that got some discussion, but was a scum ploy to try to out the tracker. But mostly, I think bad ideas come from townies who are grasping for some plan. Scum want to remain unobtrusive, and faking elaborate plans run the risk that either their scheme will be exposed as anti-town, or it will actually work. Point being: I don't think two scum would run two bad ideas by town on the same day. Looking at those, Ezio's seems most out of character, (which I don't know if that makes it more or less likely that he's scum) but what I take from this is that Ezio and Bozo are not scum together.

I would think Xorxes, Vecna, and Ezio would object to Balki casting himself as the Pied Piper of Hamelin... Balki, are you saying that only rats and children follow you?

Thanks for getting around to scumhunting. I actually like this take on Damians play, since it focuses more on Damians consistency rather than his actual actions. I would like to see more of this kind of stuff.

I had a great time in your game Fox, I just enjoy playing the part of solver rather than leader, and last game I couldn't solve as much, since I was a townclear AND a PR.

Others should provide their own perspective, but yes, I usually get an amount of crap for either trying to have fun the game or thinking about mechanics or simply engaging wrong. It's very irritating to me.

He is definitely a mechanics guy, but usually he does more scumhunting, like in his last post.

Having fun in a game of mafia? No time for that. This is serious business. I'm ready to scumread Squiggs for making conversation instead of hard-on scumhunting in every sentence.

Tom, was xorx just a random vote, or a very early slight gut scum read with nothing else to go off?
