I'm cool with starting over. The only question is: do we want to "replay" back to the same position or not?
Oh, that's very kind of you. Probably it would make more sense to replay to the same position? And I promise I will not use the "local analysis" feature again :-D

gimix, I tried to challenge you again but lichess won't let me. Can you see if you can challenge me?

For posterity, here are the moves in the original game:
e4 c6
d4 d5
e5 Bf5
Nf3 e6
Bg5 Qb6
b3 Nd7
c4 f6
exf6 Ngxf6
c5

Done.

Perhaps you were trying to challenge "gimix" but unfortunately that nickname already existed on Lichess so I had to use a slightly different one, it's "gimixvdA" (vda being Valle d'Aosta, the region where I live, and the capital A being a typo)

Pretty sure I had the correct user name, but whatever works - I'm in.

Also, if I've got the correct Valle d'Aosta, that looks *gorgeous*.

it IS gorgeous, provided you love mountains.
To give an idea, the UIAA lists 128 mountains summits over 4000 meters in the Alps, of which 60 located in Italy (totally, or shared with France or Switzerland). Of those 60, 58 are in Valle d'Aosta (again, totally or shared with Haute-Savoie, Valais, Piedmont or Lombardy). Not bad 8-)

...I grew up in and live in basically FlatLand (TM), so mountains are cool and unique to me.

Oops. I didn't exactly replay our game (there was a Knight move before f6). Sorry for that, but it doesn't change so much so I think we can continue if you agree

...so you should play Nd7, I will play c4, you play Ngxf6, I will play c5. Then we'll be back to where we were before.

Just a side note. Dougjoe and I are playing our two games at the same time. I mean, with a duration of two days per move it's not so much effort.
But if I'm not wrong all the other participants are just playing one game. This will make this tournament last even longer. What do everybody think about that?

ROUND 2:

Match 1 - Ernst_Brenner vs kingofthepirates
Match 2 - DougJoe vs AsymmetricSystem
Match 3 - Hominidae vs damo666
Match 4 - Awhailnah vs gimix
Match 5 - French_boi vs miminena

feel free to start these whenever both parties are ready; also remember that each match has two games with both players getting a chance at black and white

miminena, I sent you a request for a new game where I'm black. Let me know if it didn't work.
