I think based on yesterdays competition between two leads and jamie also being a town, damo has a high likelihood of being scum. I also expect other scums to be heavily distributed in on Red wagon to save their friend

So, why did yu lie and what was the big plan?

The Great and Esoteric Plan is as follows:
1. Claim to have a potato d1 so you can locate the rotten potato by who doesn't want you to pass a potato to them, and also so that people generally pay more attention to you try to buddy you etc
2. Loudly claim you are throwing a potato to your scumread so that any coasting town with potatoes will sheep your suggestion and throw potatoes there, therefore obscuring any evidence that you might not have had a potato
3. Panic when someone starts tracking mech and you get called out for not passing a potato, and instead of doing the obvious thing and claiming that scumread is lying, admit to lying yourself and claim it is a reason why you should not be daykilled, therefore getting a scum killed

4. Loudly announce that you have a great and esoteric plan that shall be announced, along with mind games of claiming scum actually shouldn't kill you, to make scum think you have caught one or more of them so they murder you
5. Die before you can get murdered
