Three votes I found interesting late in day 1 (in no particular order):

##vote red
Context: the final vote anyone cast on day 1. Damo moved from DW (3 votes) to Red (0 votes).

Why it's interesting: it's a completely, and knowingly, useless vote.

What I think: townish, maybe?

Presumably, damo knew that Kaka claimed to not have a vote, meaning it was hypothetically 5 (ND) to 3 (mimi) to 3 (DW). This looks like an attempt to prevent someone dumb from jumping off of ND late and tying the vote between ND and DW. But I also wonder why he didn't just vote for ND if this was the case, so I looked back through his posts and find no mention of ND even once.

It's a strange manner to avoid a tie, but, to me, it feels more like town driven behavior than it is scummy, and it draws a lot of attention scum probably don't want there. Unless I'm giving damo too much credit and he just did something ridiculously weird and useless.

Aw man

##VOTE BUNNY
Context: three minutes left in the phase. Will was voting for Bunny, then jumped to vote mimi, then jumped back to Bunny when mimi claimed. Nobody else was voting for Bunny.

Why it's interesting: It's a meaningless vote.

What I think: scummy.

Two minutes prior to the above vote, with five minutes left in the day, Will showed up.

Then, he voted for mimi.
JustAGuyNamedWill wrote:

##VOTE MIMI
Mimi then softclaimed.
miminena wrote:
Wed Apr 09, 2025 8:55 pm
i should say to those townies who are paying attention that mechanically tying the vote is better than voting me out

i will elaborate later if need be
Will then said he wanted to keep DW alive. At the time, DW had 3 votes against them. ND had 5 (including Kaka) and mimi had 4. Will believed he was putting mimi in the lead despite the soft.
JustAGuyNamedWill wrote:

I want to keep DIp alive
JustAGuyNamedWill wrote:

At least for a little so I can read him better
After that, mimi hardclaimed and Will voted for Bunny.

The appropriate, and obvious, move if Will actually gave a damn about keeping DW alive and was voting with that goal in mind was to move to ND. That move, even with Kaka on the wagon, would have put ND in the lead over both DW and mimi, and arguably could have been the deciding vote. Instead, he moved to Bunny, a non-wagon, and tied the vote between ND and mimi. So I asked - did Will townread ND?
JustAGuyNamedWill wrote:

I’m unsure of ND but I think Bunny here is a better option
No! He did not. He wrote this post with 1 minute left in the day and with Bunny at a single vote. All I see from Will is needlessly and without much effort pushing for a wagon that does not exist and going a long way to avoid stamping his name on a miskill. In doing so, he made himself completely irrelevant at the EOD.

Who should I give my potato to?
I'll trade you.
Oh I'm down for that. I wanted to give it to ND so it might blow up in his face but I think I'll settle for just voting him out.

##Vote ND
Context: almost two hours left in the day.

Why it's interesting: it put ND in the lead without justification late in the day.

What I think: scummy.

Chaqa, when asked for an explanation for this vote, gave this.

Reasoning?
He's a tool
Is he scum tho?
Chaqa never answered, and the former was his final post of the day. Conveniently, it was also Chaqa's fifth post of the day as well as his first and only vote of the day. I have no reason to conclude anything else other than that Chaqa a) intentionally met the exact minimum requirements to avoid a modkill, and b) left no reasoning for his vote because he didn't have any, but knows that he'll likely fly under the radar at least for awhile.

I intend to vote for Chaqa tomorrow.

I’m gonna reply to Bunny’s posts on the previous page, but before I do, I think that was a good analysis of the votes. It is really weird that Damo and especially Will were so willing to shift their vote off of the main wagons with just minutes to spare, but also claimed that they wanted Mimi (and Dip, in Will’s case) to stay alive. I’m not sure why they both dodged the obvious shift to ND, but it looks extra bad for Will to go back to voting Mimi after the couch potato and sweet potato claims.

Chaqa’s vote also looks bad in retrospect but I can’t judge too much as I was second on the ND wagon. Nevertheless the minimal explanation and posting for the vote is sus.

This is better. Kaka has been absent since the first couple of hours of the game.

##Vote Kakkkkkk
I will note Kak said in the game setup thread that he was feeling sick, and this was before we received the roles.
Are you townreading kaka?
No, I’m just saying that his absence is NAI. From my one previous game of experience it seems like Kaka is usually a prolific poster, but this time he was far less present so I get why people were suspicious. I was just offering an explanation for the absence that people might have missed since it was in the setup thread.

I don't want to remain on unvote so for now I will ##vote BunnyGo

The reasoning behind your votes for Bozo, then Rdrivera, then Mimi all seemed kind of flimsy. It's also interesting that both you and D&W started on Mimi and ended up on her again...
what's interesting about it?
Your initial vote of Mimi’s was a joke, but after shopping around you ended up back on her - why? In general I still don’t really get why Mimi was the main wagon even at EoD.

I Would like more votes on Dream.

As an additional reason to vote them they are currently acting as if they thought the vote(s) between Bunny and Mimi early were genuine when they had previously spoke of their early interactions as "interacting with each other to avoid suspicion" which doesn't really compute well as a flat-out bus if you think they thought it was a genuine push for some reason.
Can I offer you a potato in exchange for my life
what's this?
Half joking, but I was willing to give Control V a potato if they asked.

Me voting worcej is dogshit, or me unvoting is dogshit? Weren't you the one who said we should vote lurkers, and didn't you vote for Red just two posts before this?
By the way, this also triggered me about Bo. He even noticed you just leaving Worcej and not keeping the push lurkers.
you're thinking this is active coaching?
Again with the “coaching” smh

Guys…can we not do the “vote red for scummy lurker” day 1 again?!?

He’s got like triple the posts he normally does.

He’s interacting a little and trying a little.

And we as a group kinda promised we’d reward that with letting him live till day 2 and try and see how to turn it around.

I agree. I wanna vote him too. But cmon. This is sooooo lazy, and we’re all gonna learn nothing.

So…##vote mimi.
sure, I guess

Because I'm the sort of person who doesn't understand social norms and likes to irritate people.

Expected hot potato deaths are as follows:-

D1 0%
N1 25%
D2 19%
N2 40%
D3 32%
N3 51%
D4 42%
N4 60%
D5 50%
N5 68%
D6 57%
N6 49%
D7 44%
N7 40%
D8 37%
N8 34%
D9 31%
N9 29%
D10 28%
N10 26%

Although I doubt the game will go beyond D7.
Damo's doing weird Math is usually a towny sign.

Buy I guess it makes some sense and I don't have the time to check it.
I do concur with the first statement.

However when damo does false math it's usually a mafia sign. And I'm not getting why the chance goes down so much on D2, even lower the origin percentage ... and he said himself he didn't put the saving potato into account ... I really do want to see the math behind it

then again bozo has the same 19% for D2? Bozo, damo, how does that work?
I think it's useful context that damo made a spreadsheet for this during setup review.

Explain Bunny?

This one actually makes sense if you put it in a vacuum, but it’s still pretty bland. Where did Dream “agree with joke reads” and are you aware that this forum straight out of 2004 has a quote button?
I find Control V to be putting in the bare minimum effort right now so I would be happy to vote him later on. Seems as if he made one take and dipped
Not having a huge number of reads rn isn't exactly unexpected despite the number of wolves in game but is unfortunate, yes.
You haven't told us whether you've played before.
