Just curious, which of my exchanges with Bunny seem towny, and which of Will's with Bunny seem scummy?Kakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 7:22 pmDream is looking better than Will. While Dream is questioning stuff, has some reasonable takes, Will is, or at least was, easy to dish out townreads, from which he went back off.
From the exchanges with Bunny, Dream had some where it looks to me they aren't paired with each other, the ones I noticed yesterday. I haven't really seen exchanges from Will with Bunny I get the same feeling. I mean there are some early exchanges from Bunny with Dream, that make me a bit sus. But then I read Will and Bunny, and those doubts go away, mostly.
I do have to say, in total isolation, Will comes across as townish, but I just know that one of them has to be mafia, and it looks very much to me, as if that isn't Dream.
There are also some other things that irk me about Will, but that could be NAI, so I'm trying them not influencing me there.

that's the wrong question you are asking if you are refering to what I said.DreamTrawler wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 8:06 pmJust curious, which of my exchanges with Bunny seem towny, and which of Will's with Bunny seem scummy?Kakarroto wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 7:22 pmDream is looking better than Will. I'm not looking for towny or maf-fy right now, am more focussed of what the interactions with Bunny says about the two of you. Like the dialogue you had with Bunny yesterday, which looks very much like you aren't mafia together. I haven't noticed any interaction from Will with Bunny that was similar to that.
There was some on page 5 though, that looked like you could be on a mafteam with Bunny there, but reading further and looking at how Will reacted with Bunny, and vice versa, makes your interactions less suspicious. I've also seen some of Bunny and my posts, and from them I see how Bunny clings to people, making them seem bad. So that's where I'm coming from.
Will isn't very mafia-y, when looked at in isolation here. But his connection to Bunny is way stronger than yours.

I have a question for you while ghug is still here - how do you feel about the prevailing opinion being that you're Mafia? How do you plan to navigate Day 4 with this being the case?

Kakarroto suspects Will, I suspect Kak, Will suspects me. A Roman standoff.

I can just pray that you see the light of truth in my words.
So far, everything you said, why you maf-read me, was either proven wrong (I DID vote Bunny before) or are not alignment indicative for me (talking a lot) ... well the latter one might be even a town point for me, but it shouldn't be a maf-point for me.
All I can say is, that there are enough town games where I'm often picked out by mafia as a misvote, and they shade me. In those games, I normally can't obv-town (I have some of those too) so I remain a viable target. Often I get misvoted on the final try, and when that happens, I hate it so much.
But I'm a normal VT here, and I just try to let Rome stay a senatoral Republic.

Re: M1035 - Julius Caesar Mafia - Game Thread
My final thought is this: I think it's probably Kak, and I think it's probably not Dream, but pay close attention to how Will plays the day. Someone will probably end up deciding between the other two, and that person should focus on interactions with Bunny and potentially how players have chosen to position themselves in the endgame (like my analysis of the survey yesterday, and potentially how Will approaches the final 3), but not how good someone's arguments are tomorrow. In a 1v1 situation, both players have identical motivations, and it's easy for that to lead to the better debater winning, which has nothing to do with alignment. Good luck. VALE.

Re: M1035 - Julius Caesar Mafia - Game Thread
On December 7th, 43 BC(E), being put on a Proscription due to Antony, and condoned by Caesar, adopted son of Caesar, a small group lead by a military tribune and a centurion, showed up at Cacero's villa. The doors were locked, but they busted in. After interrogating some workers, they learned that Cacero was on his way to the sea. They caught up with him on the road.
Cacero knew that he was caught. He told his entourage to stop. The pursuers found him reading, in a reclined position.
"I'm stopping here. he said.
Then he turns to the lead centurion.
"Come here soldier. There's nothing proper about what you're doing, but at least make sure you cut off my head properly."
Cacero then stucks out his neck and indicates what he wants to be done ...
-----
Years later, when Caesar, adopted son of Caesar, was an old man, he caught his grand son reading something that Cacero was written. His grandson has some vague notion that this was some old enemy of his grandfather, so, in a panic, he tried to hide the writing under his clothes.
Caesar, adopted son of Caesar, saw what he was trying to do and had him handed over. For a long time he stood there, reading the words of Cacero, written in another era.
In time, he handed the writing back to his grandson, saying: "My child, this was a learned man, and a lover of his country."

PINDARUS
O my lord!
CASSIUS
What news?
PINDARUS
Titinius is enclosed round about
With horsemen, that make to him on the spur;—
Yet he spurs on.—Now they are almost on him;—
Now, Titinius!—
Now some light: O, he lights too: he's ta'en; and hark!
They shout for joy.
CASSIUS
Come down, behold not more.—
O, coward that I am, to live so long,
To see my best friend ta'en before my face!
Come hither, sirrah:
In Parthia did I take thee prisoner;
And then I swore thee, saving of thy life,
That whatsoever I did bid thee do,
Thou shouldst attempt it. Come now, keep thine oath;
Now be a freeman; and, with this good sword,
That ran through Caesar's bowels, search this bosom.
Stand not to answer: here, take thou the hilts;
And when my face is cover'd, ad 'tis now,
Guide thou the sword.—Caesar, thou art revenged,
Even with the sword that kill'd thee.

Alright, true to my word, I'm fully convinced that Will is mafia. Believe me or not, I'm not gonna change in that regard, Will just had so much going on, dealing out townreads villy nilly, then retracting them when questioned because they were just 'mild', putting out that Bunny and me can't be on a team but still isn't sure in voting Dream fully, then his sporadic postings. So I'll just vote ##JustAGuyNamedWill and will not move from him, because he is just mafia here and he needs to be purged.
And I'll not gonna change here, so ##end

I'm not going to make any decisions till all 3 of us are present. We still have a whole 2 days to convince each other.
Re: M1035 - Julius Caesar Mafia - Game Thread
well, I lied a bit there, I had at least some doubts of my read. I still think it's much more likely Will, but that reaction here looks not like impulsive mafia.
so, just in case ##unend
and now for real ##vote JustAGuyNamedWill
