I can assure you if there is a witch he would know everyones allignment by now.
I can confidently say this, because i am in fact a witch, and I know everyones allignment and role.
Mafia has also known my identity since N3, and theyve known theyre dealing with a witch since then as well. Theyre trying to make town do their dirty work, or theyre trying to make me their puppet because they realize I need them to kill the last town PR.
Allowing either of that to happen goes directly against my wincon.
Im not really the kingmaking type either, but I realize that my path to victory is very unlikelym, but there is still a small chance if I try to puppeteer things myself.
Assuming competent scum play, they will never kill the town PR before me, so I need to attempt to direct things in a way that still gives every party a shot to win.
Like Ghug said, the drudgeries of 3 party diplomacy.

You can do your due dilligence and ask the gm's about all the mechanics surrounding killing foodcoats role, and how the repeated targetting works with roleblocks and redirecting. I have already deduced I need to get the remaining mafia PR killed by a daykill, and then take the correct gamble on the 2 subsequent nights when foodcoats cannot self-target. I like those odds more than betting on scum being foolish enough to nightkill foodcoats while I still live, hence this current approach.

I will also need to make a judgement call whether I deem to cooperation trustworthy enough to risk the whole kingmaking shenanigans.
The deal would mean exchanging a kill of the scum PR in return for a gamechanging number of townclears.

In the witch description, it says that the witch will be told what actions their target can perform and the witch can then force them to target either themselves (the controlled player) or the witch. I want to explicitly confirm that these are the only two targets a witch can redirect the action to.
In the event that there is only one scum, does this control apply to the scum faction abilities, since they are the only one who could perform these abilities?

You'll be playing right into mafias plan though.
Theyve been killing townies and PR's for the last 2-3 nights while they could have taken their responsibility themselves and killed me a long time ago.
Im sure RHK and Ghug are rooting for me in the godthread.
All the same, I cannot fault you for this decision.
