I'm not sure we should do the third party thing, as it gives the other two factions a pathway and incentive for cooperation.

I am not sure that the mafia would ever want to check it, but I don't see why a town lie detector would want to look specifically for the third party until all of the mafia are eliminated, at which point "I am town" would still work.

sort of? I've played mafia with friends in person many times, and I've spectated games of mafia on other forums that I frequent, but this is my first time playing mafia on a forum.

anyways, now that formalities are done, could you elaborate on your vote on D&W? They fall almost perfectly null for me, so i'm curious on your reasoning.

I know after my data research projects there is a direct correlation between most scum players total posts dropping when compared to how many posts they make as town, and then there is also a correlation between longer posts with more words in them while also having less posts than usual; and quite a few people have these traits.

Examples like vecna is much more likely to post less as mafia, while doing half hearted catchups; followed quickly by a smarttering of scumreads he will throw out and it looks very much like his towngame but the curiousity of it is less evident.

Or spirit who tends to have big posts as both alignments but will hedge heavily in his huge wall posts when hes mafia.

This is a quack analysis.

hmm... Will has been a bit weird about ghug throughout the day imo; they went from a slight read, to emphatically voting them, to feeling iffy about the wagon with little in-between. Not sure if this means anything, but it feels like an opportunity vote on a pretty arbitrary wagon.

This isn't very strong reasoning, but I am trigger happy, and would prefer to build up pressure on people other than ghug, so:

It is an amazing coincidence that these posts were 14 seconds apart considering it was over an hour after DiplomacyandWarfare's post. It seems like a good indication that miminena and worcej are on the same team. I calculate that they are about 6 times more likely to both be town than mafia (by random chance).

12/16 * 11/16 = 0.5156

your calculation seems a bit off. theyre closer to 22 times more likely to both be town than to both be mafia. Or 18 times if youre accounting from a pov that is town.
