I don't like worcej's plan (regardless of whether I'm on his list) and I think his picks are odd given his motivation (I think damo is actually more motivated to build consensus than most and Vecna's consistently low activity makes him less of that game-driving "good player" than me used to be). I think it's coming from a good place, though, and I think the questionableness of the logic is generally a sign that worcej is letting us see his real thought process.

hmm... Will has been a bit weird about ghug throughout the day imo; they went from a slight read, to emphatically voting them, to feeling iffy about the wagon with little in-between. Not sure if this means anything, but it feels like an opportunity vote on a pretty arbitrary wagon.

This isn't very strong reasoning, but I am trigger happy, and would prefer to build up pressure on people other than ghug, so:

I find "kill the scummy player" results in making very uninformed votes on D1 and just leads to a random kill within 5 minutes of phase change.

just get better at it and realize that people trying hard to act towny and being fake as fuck is what you should focus on instead.

imo engagement is the big tell (while also taking track record into consideration, since iirc there are some players who notably pop off late game, such as chaqa). more messages is always a good thing. for looking at fellow town, it's more chances to see them rooting out mafia and more chances for productive discussion. for looking at mafia, it's more chances for a slip to come out, and more chances to learn the inner workings and reads and who they may want to eliminate, which can later be traced back.

I am not accusing you of this, just notably telling you my expectation as another player is that you do this and have fun while doing it.

But I disagree that the thing that needs to change is killing people who disagree with consensus

You're clearly missing my point - I don't find disagreeing with consensus to be an issue, what I find to be the problem is that they will actively fight consensus in later stages of the game (again, my opinion here).

I do not think it's impossible to have fun primarily while trying to win, but again fun is very subjective.

Like right now, I'm having a fucking ball. Here's why:

1. It's entertaining as hell to argue killing ghug, damo, and Vecna on D1 over our normal shitshow of last second votes.
2. I find it incredibly fun to watch you actively fight against my proposal while not bringing anything relevant to the table on how to be better as town.
3. I find it fun to watch Vecna completely avoid commentary on my posts/opinion.
4. It's fun to watch BB try to be different but fall into similar tendencies (note: they aren't bad tendencies).
5. I am intrigued by what Bunny is planning right now, because we all know he has some sort of gimmick going on.

This is fun as hell for me. How about you Will? You having as much fun as me?

So i have this theory that the 3rd and 4th people on wagons matters a great deal, its when a wagon actually becomes a wagon on days where there are lots of people. Its early enough to claim town credit if they flip scum and will make you less under suspicion than the first 2 people if the person flips town. This is when the majority of opportunistic scum and bussers jump on becomes they come off decently regardless of outcome. So people looking to come off good join then, and scum and new players usually want to come off good more so than others. Floodcoats is not a new player, so he fits the bill, I am staying here unless I need to switch at end of day.
