Major Mitchell's World Game of Cosmic Madness
I have created a,World Game titled Major Mitchell's World Game of Cosmic Madness
It's 137 points to join
If enough players join then Webdiplomacy members not playing the game might care to post their comments about the game in this thread.
As a player in the game I must observe the Rules about Blabbing about Games in Progress in our Bwave New Forum with More Decorum.

Is the "Madness" part having 4 excused turns on a 17 player game with a minimum reliability of 17%?

The four excused missed turns are to encourage actors and artists to participate in the game.
What's your problem with the number 17 Bertie?
17 is a lovely prime number
Plus the type of players who will join this game will.be the Top Guns, the deadliest Diplomacy players so don't worry Bertie, it's going to be FUN

Speaking of madness, in Italy and other countries of Latin/Greek origin, 17 traditionally means bad luck. There are a few explanations, one is that in Latin numerals it is XVII which can be anagrammed as VIXI (I lived, hence I'm now dead). There is also a beautiful term for the fear of that number eptacaidecafobia.
Furthermore, Friday (the day of Jesus death) the 17th is the worst day in the calendar, so we also have paraschevieptacaidecafobia

So, MM, you may want to select another prime number next time

However, it is interesting to note that 17 is one of the six Lucky Numbers of Euler, with the others being 2, 3, 5, 11, and 41.gimix wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 12:14 pmSpeaking of madness, in Italy and other countries of Latin/Greek origin, 17 traditionally means bad luck. 17 is also an evil number, though.

18 is a win, 17 defeat. It can be considered the greatest defeat.

I have taken up giving Tarot Card interpretations and visited an Adelaide branch of the Scientology organisation and have a Scientology Personality Test form to complete then take back & they said if I did this the next test they would give me is an intelligence quotient test.
I need to do some basic research on how to interpret Tarot Cards.

Re: Major Mitchell's World Game of Cosmic Madness
There are only 4 days left to join the World Game that I created and it might not start
Only 5 other players have shown the bold courage and daring to.join the game so eleven players are needed for the game to start
Those silly Scientology Chaps gave me a Personality Test that someone else had used
The person has chosen a Yes / maybe / No answer for all the questions (a lot ~300+) and written their name & email address
I'm tempted to send them a prank email or a genuine email
But have done neither
To maintain my ethical standards I shall return the test to.the Scientology Chaps and get an unused Personality Test to use myself.
There's an open mic stand-up comedy show at 22 Liegh Street tonight. If I go the organiser might give me a 5 minute spot
Au revoir mes amis et en avante

Be careful with the Scientologists. Might read some of the complaints lodged by ex-Scientologists, see what you're getting into.

Perhaps it will be the Scientologists who should be careful~ I appreciate your good intentions Ernst yet feel that positive encouragement that shows a greater degree of confidence in my intellectual abilities & Machiavellian talents~
How many Scientologists were reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu, The Prince by Machiavelli when they were fledglings, or since?

Of course if the Scientologists get naughty then a.big hungry Australian venomous snake might happen to meet them, tis quite amazing where those blighters can surprise people.

A good thing about pet Death Adders is if you lose them they are quite capable of surviving on their own

Clearly giving you someone else's form is part of the test. How you react to this real world situation demonstrates your personality far better than any questionnaire. The question is what a bunch of copper nanotubes like Scientologists are looking for in a personality

My 5 minute stand-up comedy spot last.night went well.
The Nazi salute by Elon Musk is wonderful material for comedians to exploit
I started by showing a large colour print of the photo of Elon Musk doing his Nazi salute to the audience...
Then i did a Nazi salute and told the audience that Donald Trumptoad had appointed me as the new UberFuhrer of South Australia & "riffed it" from there using a few ideas I'd prepared about my Gulag (KangarooIsland), Slavery & Racism
