Based on present day borders, or at the time of birth and death respectively?

No, but the individual did die in a different principality to the one they were born in.

We know a fair amount about this person biographically, but nothing about what they are actually famous for.

Is this individual primarily famous for holding the aforementioned political or government position?

Maybe I should say, that the individual was a member of the nobility or royalty and did hold a kind of government or political office, but that is not what they are known for.

Did you mean to say 'polity' rather than "principality'?

The place of birth and the place of death definitely belonged to two different polities. I used the term 'principality' to indicate that both polities were sovereign states, ruled or reigned over by a monarch, but not a king. In this sense, I would refer to Duchies, Prince-Bishoprics, Margravates, etc. as principalities. To be clear, neither the polity in which the individual was born nor in which they died had the term 'Principality' as part of its name.

As a last point, given the time and place under consideration, I would not count a republic as a principality. So to be clear, the individual was neither born nor died in a republic.

Another clarification - would the Papal States count as a principality here?

I think we are at 19 questions.

As a hint, the polity the individual was born in was ruled by Alejandro Farnese.
