Multiple players playing with 1 or more bots?

Hi. New here. I looked around and don’t see if it is possible to play with multiple humans and fill out the remainder of the positions with bots.

I’d like to do this to bring in a few people I know so they can begin to enjoy the game but don’t want to have them start with a public game if possible.

Thoughts?

Unfortunately, in press games, it is not possible to fill open positions with bots.

However, gunboat games will allow you to do this. If you found some other means of communicating with your friends outside of the Ui, you could still have the full press experience with some bots (however, the game is likely to be a bit wonky, because, well, bots.)

Or you could just play some plain gunboat and avoid the extra hassle.

I haven't found the way to launch such a game with a limited number of players and the remaining completed by bots. Could you please explain the process to achieve this ?

Go to "Start a New Game" under the Games Tab.
Then in the "Game Messaging" portion put it into "No Messaging"
Then a box will pop up with "Fill with Bots", check that. Make sure to click the question mark to understand how it works, here's what it says:

Fill with Bots:
If the game has at least 2 human players it will fill with bots if there are empty spaces at the designated start time instead of being cancelled. This type of game will default to a 5 point bet, unranked, and anonymous regardless of what settings you select. If the game fills with 7 human players it will run just like any normal game and will be included in classic stats.
