Partially. I didn't like how wet townread the whole game in his one substantive post yesterday and then Jamie reminded me he existed.

He was sus of argent and dip and rdr... not really townreading everyone. His absence makes me lean more town on him. I think he would make better posts as scum.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:13 pmPartially. He townread most players. That seems disingenuous to me given how early it was and how uninvolved he's been.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:10 pmHe was sus of argent and dip and rdr... not really townreading everyone. Yeah, I get that. I did find his turnaround on me to be 'too easy.'ghug wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:24 pmHe townread most players. I think we have other fish to fry.
You have been trying to get Red to be more involved. What do you think of his reaction?

Ghug is the top poster today and also made 15 posts last night, he's one of the least absent people.

Not sure yet. I see a through line to the thought process, which is a start,, but I could see it coming from either alignment.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:32 pmYeah, I get that. I did not mean ghug was quiet. I meant that your suspicion of Vecna was Vecna 's absence... similar to Ghug's suspicion of Vecna.

I'm thrilled by Vecna's observations so far. How about everyone else?

had to actually look this one up. For some reason the only thing I felt like digging into in this game so far because im intrigued by our new buddy.Red Neurax wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 7:19 pmi wasnt quite sure how the game worked and the most recent post was by dip saying something about voting me and fair so i just thought he was accusing me
It sort of checks out in a very weak way.
DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 2:05 pmJamiet's vote on me is apparently because I have apparently been lurking. Fair.
Foodcoat's vote on Red is based on lurking. Fair
ghug... still has a joke vote out???
dargogrygel thinks there's a ghug/bona connection, which I am skeptical of because I tr ghug
damo... claims to have solved d1???
Bonatogether also has a joke vote out
wait
the two people who dargorygel thinks are linked have both kept out early joke votes and made low-quality, 1-2 sentence posts.
##vote bonatogether
this does not smell like scum reasoning to me. odd as it might be.
Re: Mafia 1033 - The Next Generation [Hidden]
@ghug - did you refer to this post when you stated that I was townreading most of the game? Seems like a rather overzealous interpretation, no?Vecna wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:30 pmnot a lot to go on so far this game.
I have generally favorable feelings about; damo, darg and potentially also will/food/jamiet. Theres nothing really strong here whatsoever. for obvious reasons.
RDR is in his scum meta, based on very thin observations
Argent did that classic "new" scum thing of talking about how they should be able to play decently, but still trying to focus on how clueless they really are.
I could see D&W as scum I guess.
I cant really read ghug and bona and red atm. Same for Bozo
Id have expected argent to at least respond to my point there, but unless i missed it in the catchup, none ever came.

OK, but that post by DiplomacyandWarfare points out that foodcoats was voting for Red Neurax, yet Red Neurax came away from that thinking DiplomacyandWarfare is the one who was suspicious for trying to get him DKed.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 10:31 pmhad to actually look this one up. Were you aware of who was voting for you when you voted for DiplomacyandWarfare? Did you know how many votes DiplomacyandWarfare had at the time?Red Neurax wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 7:19 pmi wasnt quite sure how the game worked and the most recent post was by dip saying something about voting me and fair so i just thought he was accusing me
Re: Mafia 1033 - The Next Generation [Hidden]
Some general thoughts;
Darg still seems mainly in his towny mode. Theres nothing overly strong towny that ive been able to find, but theres a generic solvy vibe going on. And when I was live talking at the same time I got small snippets of feeling like he was investigating at least.
RED thorax or whatever his name is; I think this slot is actually pretty towny. im surprised (but also not really) ghug feels the line could come from either allignment. The way of phrasing of reads surrounding damo, being suspicious of me for somehow coming to protect damo - it all feels inline to me with how a new towny would approach the game. I also dont particularly see a new scum just voting someone else for approving of someone else's vote on them.
Bozo; Still hard to read. Still could be either allignment. No overly clear fabricating and fitting of bad narratives to justify votes (allthough his red thorax vote-reasoning does somewhat end up on that side of the spectrum). He wasnt overly joking during d1 which ive gotten used to him doing. He got mired up in plenty of mech talks. Typing all this he could actually be scum.
Jamiet; felt like usual town-jamiet d1, but his recent tone just feels like he's thrashing around to find reasons to scumread people. Not nessacerily scum-indicative, but it feels hostile. His characterisation of my lie-detector joke to poke at RDR being labelled as "calling him a liar" just seems like a weird characterization. The way he attacked red also feels overly aggressive, like he's perceiving us as the enemy and is on a search and destroy mission looking for targets.
Bona & Damo - im gonna have no opinions on these probably going forward. How people read these slots is a mystery to me. I cannot do it. Catching damo last game was because his logic was just completely disjointed. Im not seeing that here, but that does not make him town by any stretch.
Ghug: I liked how he took red by the hand and tried to involve him. im sure he does that as scum as well, but so far it all feels moderaly fine. Him overexhagerating the reasons for being suspicious of me could go either way, but the broad interpretation does not imply a cautiously fabricated bullshit reason.
D&W; im probably mixing up his playstyle with someone else, but I feel like theres a hint of recklessness missing in his playstyle. It all feels a little fabricated. im not very certain about this gutfeeling, but its there.
Argent; same as before really. No strong feelings, but if I had to make a guess its definately possible to be scum.
Will; feels carefull, but I havent spent a great deal of effort trying to read him.
