It didn’t ping me at the time, but you’ve caused me to reflect further about how argent played. They showed up to say why they are playing, and how they have played before and might play now, but they didn’t really show up and play. I don’t know if them being new or old is relevant as it seems scummy either way.Vecna wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:30 pmnot a lot to go on so far this game.
I have generally favorable feelings about; damo, darg and potentially also will/food/jamiet. Theres nothing really strong here whatsoever. for obvious reasons.
RDR is in his scum meta, based on very thin observations
Argent did that classic "new" scum thing of talking about how they should be able to play decently, but still trying to focus on how clueless they really are.
I could see D&W as scum I guess.
I cant really read ghug and bona and red atm. Same for Bozo

I will probably not be able to make EoD
I'm opposed to the wagons on me and red
the rdr wagon doesn't appear to be going anywhere
out of bona and jamiet, jamiet has said a lot of things I disagree with, but at least he's actually forming reads. Bona's posts are a whole lot of nothing.

brig rhymes with grig, which is like ghug in that it starts and ends with gBunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:38 pmCaptain's log, Star Date 54020.1:
Doctor Crusher reports nothing medically wrong with the crew. She personally checked all the transporter logs for crew returning from Risa.
Counselor Troi detects nothing wrong with any of the crew; and no other consciousness she can sense.
Lieutenant Commanders Data and Laforge are running a diagnostic on the ship, but have yet to find anything that has caused the communication systems to go down. Their best explanation is that the partially completed repairs have caused issues.
And during all this the crew insist that they do not trust the rest of the crew.

No, it´s not a townslip, everybody and some more knows town have a phaser and it was discussed about using it on N1 on the signup thread. I feel a bit offended.
It could be a townslip because I read my PM and posted with this on mind, but Vecna seems to think it´s a scumslip somehow.

Why this is scummy is something I don´t understand, could you explaing this to me? I just used this instead of my usual "hi fellow townies and some evil bastards".DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 4:58 pmI find it ridiculous that someone could read anything at all about the setup and then not know that everyone (except maf) has phasers. To me, this is a slightly scummy way of saying "Hi, I am town"

Re: Mafia 1033 - The Next Generation [Hidden]
I have to agree with Ghug here that there isn´t any reason to townread Darg over this. Not sure if I scumread it too because it´s Dargo, he isn´t exactly a mechs guy.ghug wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 5:07 pmI disagree. Darg knew we changed the rules. He was expressing an opinion irrelevant to the game that he formed before he got his role because he had a bone to pick, which fits more in the mold of scum talking about mechanics to avoid contributing than anything else.DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 2:20 pmfirst of all, I would have publicly and very loudly agreed, and then not used my phaser during the first night (assuming the rules were NOT changed to make the kill optional) on the assumption that maf would not kill me given I was publicly agreeing.dargorygel wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 12:28 pmIn fact... that is for everyone. Would you have gone along with the plan?
as for the actual post, this is towny for obvious reasons. Granted, it could be that darg was trying to take initiative to get townread early, but this day is so slow that I fail to see maf actually trying to get anything done when it would be easy to blend in with the low-quality posters.
TLDR: I townread dargorygel

Scum points to you as this is a good way to jump out of a Bona wagon.DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 5:19 pmUnpopular opinion: I know people like to only vote lurkers if they continue lurking for several days, but by d2-d3 there's usually enough grudges and arguments going around that everybody mostly forgets about the lurkers.

Trying to create ties as EoD approaches is something I've seen you do plenty of times before.

Are you trying to persuade me to get angry with you, Ghug? If so, please cease such toxicity at once or I will be forced to put live snails in Damo's pencil case.

Haven´t DipándWarfare played with Jamiet before or he is always this dense?DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 7:31 pmI am suggesting that you are trying to intimidate other players into agreeing with you / townreading you to avoid being scumread by you.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 7:24 pmThere are two ways to help town win during the day.DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 7:23 pm
I don't like how Jamiet approaches a vote on him. This is a little bit passive-aggressive and a little bit of implying damo should have to prove he's town to jamiet.
1. Find Scum
2. Find Town
You are suggesting you are unaware of method (2).
As town, this type of strategy causes players to target other town over maf who sheep them.
As mafia, this strategy is effective as a method of garnering townreads from other players.
