Damo, we have had a good history of sheeping each other in various games to catch scum. I really want to trust you this game like last, but if RHK is scum, he is more likely the driver, and I really really want to catch the driver today. So tell me, are you as confident this game in your reads as last game?

##Call GM - Am I interpreting the rules correctly in that the double vote is auto-used the day phase after you take it?

Re: Mafia XL - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
These two Day 1 post from DemonRHK have interested me a lot. And they are much more interesting now that we know some alignments, which I've filled in below:
(1) With regard to Szpoti, he notes some scummy behavior, to create a bit of distance there, but then he sweeps it under the rug with "but has made some solid posts since." Note that DemonRHK is non specific about these "solid posts since." And if you go read the Szpoti ISO, you'd have a hard time seeing what DemonRHK could be referring to. This fits normal scum-scum relations. Create a bit of distance when your partner is not in trouble, but generally try to sweep anything peculiar that they do out of sight.
(2) Now that we know Yavu's alignment, the vote on Yavu for the "scumslip" that somebody else caught is a classic place to park a vote. It is easy, it requires little blood on your hands, and it looks like a town wagon that may be a winner. Yavuz is the kind of target that scum often look for on Day 1. He often says things that are unconventional and he is often perceived as scummy.
(3) Now that we know Xorxes's alignment, the "completely obvtown" comment looks pretty bad. I read Xorx as town on Day 1 too, but I would have never said something like "completely obvtown." Xorxes is a good player, and town players usually have more suspicion than that. On the other hand, Scum know alignments, and so town players often look "completely obvtown" to mafia, and so they try to buddy or pocket the strong town players by giving them over the top town reads.
There is a lot of arguing and posting on previous games, the setup, and about 70 layers of meta reasoning between worc and jamie. I'm leaning town on jamie and null on worc.
Vecna chiding Durga for winding Jamie up and proceeding to do just that is poor play and I'm slight scum on him for it. Durgas reading town, but I don't think I've seen her as scum in a while and may have forgotten her scum-play.
Szpot came in a shitty Ezio Special no lynch but has made some solid posts since.
Balki is hit or miss. I like the clear reads but hard shutting out discussion is never towny.
yavu had a slip in one of his posts (talking about we in reference to scum), and for that I'm on a [][]Vote Yavu.
DemonRHK does three things that I would expect to see from scum based on the alignments we know:And xorx is completely obvtown. He made six votes during the opening, and has been playing loose. He's not forcing his logic. Scum xorx is way more careful in his steps than I've seen this game.

I am packing for a road trip. I am not much a believer in either wagon (I haven't really had time to pay attention), but I will sheep you on this vote Squigs. I will be back in half an hour.
Re: Mafia XL - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Honestly. I thought Spzoti also made a solid post or two at some point, I don't see why you're grilling RHK on this so hard - if I was scum, I'd be like WTF GET OUT NOLYNCHER - not say they made decent posts?? Idk, null either way
Re: Mafia XL - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Re: Mafia XL - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Okay, you'd bus your partner harder. But, is DemonRHK a guy who you would think would bus his new player partner hard on Day 1?
Also, any thoughts on the other parts of my argument? The Xorxes thing? The Yavu thing?

Why do I get the feeling today is going to end in a tie?
