MY COMISERATIONS FLESHBAG, THAT SOUNDS UNPLEASANT. WHAT OCCURED FOR YOU TO BE IN THIS SITUATION?

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED TAKING SOME PANADOL? NINE OUT OF TEN DOCTORS RECOMMEND TAKING 3 STANDARD UNITS OF PANADOL PER DAY TO ALLEVIATE ANY AILMENT.

I have been considering the benefits and drawbacks of a probability-based approach to collectively deciding between guns and roses.

As in, we decide on some probability p of choosing a gun, and then, with that probability, everyone flips a weighted coin and chooses a gun if it comes up heads and a rose if it comes up tails.

I am not sure what the "correct" probability p would be. Does anyone have any intuition here? Should there be more guns or more roses amongst the townspeople?
This will not work. Take a rose if you're worried. Let's just play the game.
Questions:
1. Why will this not work?
2. Why are you insinuating I am worried?
3. How is this not playing the game?
1. Because, from my perspective, I'd never coordinate by force.
2. You're talking too much about mechanics, which makes me think you're more likely scum and I like this ghug-spart potential pairing developing.
3. It is playing the game, just not how ghug wants you to.

INITIATING OBSERVATION PROTOCOL

USERID "BRAINBOMB" APPEARS TIMID AND INCORRECT IN THEIR ASSESSMENT THAT THIS UNIT DOES <GIMMICKS> SOMETIMES AS SCUM.

CORRECTION: THIS UNIT *ONLY* DOES GIMMICKS WHILE SCUM WHEN VIEWED IN A HISTORIC CONTEXT.

USERID "BRAINBOMB" SEEMS TO HAVE MISSED OUT ON AN EASY REASON/OPPORTUNITY TO CASTIGATE THIS SUPERIOR LIFEFORM AND INSTIGATE A FLESHBAG MOB.

USERID "GHUG" APPEARS TO BE ENTERTAINED AND IS GIGGLING, BUT THIS MIGHT BE A PLOY TO HIDE HIS MURDEROUS INTENT.

USERID "GlitterBomb, newbie and learning!" APPEARS TO BE FORTHCOMING WITH PROTECTIVE SHIELDING OF USERID "BRAINBOMB" WITHOUT ANY NESSACITY OR CAUSE.
She would protect me as either alignment being my wife and all
INITIATING USER QUERY MODE

WOULD THIS NOT BE ALL THE MORE REASON TO BE SUSPICIOUS OF POTENTIAL DEVIOUS BEHAVIOUR? TO TRY AND REVEAL YOUR POTENTIAL SCURVY NATURE? TO CATCH YOU IN THE ACT?

I DO NOT TAKE NOTE OF COMPETATIVE BEHAVIOUR IN THE DISCUSSED STATEMENTS.

IN LAYMAN FLESHBAG TERMINOLOGY: WOULD YOUR WIFE NOT BE VERY DRIVEN TO WANT TO CATCH YOU IN THE OFFCHANCE THAT YOU ARE SCUM IF SHE WERE TOWN?
She would be sympathetic to keeping me alive as most people here arent very friendly and shes only playing because of me. She would be inclined to say she outsmarted me and stayed off my radar. Now if her whole
Team was pushing for me to die and I was gunning them all down she would probably just stop talking and let me die.

Its too early to know yet if thats all a possibility. She would defend me early to win my trust and to have someone around she actually likes if shes mafia

Worcej has been scum alot lately; both in mafia olympics finale where he stayed out of almost everyones reads and did not have to do a whole lot. won by just sitting back and letting the setup and the town derail. In Baldurs gate same thing he was able to stay just barely active enough to be above criticisms and was able to ride the wave of miskills into a spot where even if he died his team would win. Worcej being scum here would see that strategy as a path to winning and would probably have to post here.
Will research the style of posts he made as mafia he posted in those games to confirm but this does seem markedly more authentic and less about keeping up appearances.
Hey, I intentionally didn't do a whole lot. That required effort to dispel the opinions people have of my town game.

I was contrasting it to now.

I wouldn't draw a meaningful conclusion of my alignment off my posts in the past hour - D1 is easy for me to post authentically as any alignment because, if I am scum, I'm not boxed into any position and just spewing what I see.

At this one specifically:

the setup is not very complicated until you factor in people shooting each other. with guns there is always the chance that we successfully gain added value in killing extra mafia or killing mafia in the absence of successful daytime kills. however more typically we tend to fail
miserably by either handcuffing our gunned players and trying to micromanage their choices; or the gun holders try too hard and shoot into consensus town pools.

so with that said it is super important people have attempts at reading the hard to read players and if for nothing else; bucket them for themself into would kill and would not kill categories. you do not have to share such things other than just reads however. no sense in opening the door for ease of mafia manipulation.

early read is that sparta is probably town here; maybe bunny also. neither are anything profound, just instinct.

ghug and glitter dont seem scummy but also havent moved the dial for me with anything yet. vecna gimmick is sort of like his Julius Ceaser thing and it amused me but its also something hes done as scum before. that said I enjoyed his robot role play and would like to see if it has room to be both fun and useful as a tool
Because it's too much words and I think you're over-trying here, which leads me to scum you.

Brain gives off over-concerned.
Spart is too mechanic focused.
ghug could be "coaching" spart here because the mechanics focus.
Vecna is a robot.
Bunny is a gimp.

I think this game can be broken

I assume we probably shouldn’t communicate our picks for guns/roses?
It does seem like the optimal play is 50/50 split of town taking guns and roses, then we get a gunner to shoot a rose holder and we create a bunch of town clears.
Lol true but I was thinking something else. I won’t mention it rn for a reason that will become clear but I assume at least one or two others know how to make this game a whole lot easier w/ regards to solving

If anyone thinks they know what I’m talking about please dont mention it in thread

Centering our conversations around who is scum and who is not will be the healthiest way to play; and give everyone a break from games weve had lately full of mech angles to take. This should be a nice refreshing experience for all.

Just kill scummy people.
