I think you have a pretty negative opinion/perspective here.

teenagers aren't necessary, and on top of it, you sound like see teenagers in a negative light. No other flavour has ever influenced the time played, we even had other game flavours, why would this be the case here?

talking meaninglessly and random guesses are a mainstay of every mafia game on this site, and I even lean myself so far out of the window to say, a mainstay of every mafia game period.

In my opinion, Among Us flavour would take one isolated location from the game (space craft, mining station) and a few aliens try to eradicate that location from the humans, include one or two roles or abilities from the game and find a good equivalent for a mafia role (ninja who can 'vent', godfather as shapeshifter or maybe even look as someone else if doing a nightaction, ...) or a town role (vig as a sheriff, tracker as someone who watches the broadcast, ...) and make the EoD GM posts about emergency meetings.

You could even try to make a system with the tasks, to unlock a potential town victory with certain conditions, but that would probably need to be thought through in a detailed way and have a good balance.

Chaqa had a setup for among us mafia that even had a map and everything but he scrapped the concept.

I would argue Among Us is just generally low-quality. It got a big popularity boost due to the pandemic and some people on youtube. As a much better alternative for secret role games, might I introduce you to:

AMONGUS mafia would be SO MUCH fun tasks during the night like riddles to solve to get bonuses for the town would be a fun twist too;
like random town gets a VIG shot if the town successfully solves the riddle, and it would be SO funny if mafia already know the answer to the riddle and so they try to lead us from the right answer

the riddle thing is a pretty interesting idea. Could spark more night discussion.

Maybe each town member had like a secret task, like trying to get at least two people to vote a specific person or trying to get one person to post like 50+ times and if you complete all your tasts you get a bonus

Hmm. Seems like writing a bunch of tasks for the town would be pretty difficult

bc if the tasks are "get X to post X times" then when someone tells someone else to stop lurking then it becomes fairly obvious what's going on
similarly if everyone has "get X eliminated" then people just try to wagon each other for no reason and everyone knows why
so you would have to have a lot of different tasks tasks, ideally several dozen, and they would all have to be creative and have reasonable difficulty levels

Proposed rule change

Before a game begins players must confirm participation via discord.
There is a situational flaw in using discord for mafia chat where players can see when a person last logged into the app in various servers which serves as providing mechanical evidence of innocence. Making sure the players wanting to play in the game check in and confirm via discord allows the gm to know that player :

A. Has a discord and cannot claim mid game they dont even have one.

And B: that the player cant be accused of being innocent by way of not using discord.


Second proposed rule change
The changing of avatars, signatures, visible account details be completely banned from being edited once a game has begun.


Third proposed rule change
Anyone who signs up for a game and is subbed for flaking or
Modkilled for flaking must serve a mandatory 2 game ban

Would they have to join a specific Discord server or just PM the GM in Discord?

When has this issue actually caused a problem? I fail to understand the obsession with it.

I assume by "flaking" you mean failing to adhere to minimum participation limits. In which case, I agree.
