To the Kaiser,
I pinky promise i wont stab you.
Pinky primed,
The Diplomat of France, Pengwinja.
I will take this as a legally binding agreement. Expect lawyers in Paris if this "pinky promise" is broken.

To the Kaiser, who i need to tell me the name of their barber,
I would not expect lawyers in Paris. As French tradition states, A hitman would show up at my house five minutes before even THINKING about breaking such a life-bonding agreement.
Promise confirmed,
The diplomat of France, Pengwinja.

France has two options once I die, Germany or Italy and im betting Italy is the next target

Plus with a potential?? Juggernaut in the east, Italy, you have to et the jump on France before you have to commit to stopping an RT

To the Czar,

The Sultanate looks gladly upon the situation in the North, which appears to offer you room for expansion and few clear risks. In the South, it is clear that you need to get into Galicia and that I need to move my fleets West. Given your fairly rosy situation in the North, I would also appreciate a medium-term goal of getting me into Serbia.

In the immediate-term, we may be better off not openly coordinating, since we have a bit of a guessing game with Austria. I'm thus inclined to leave tactics to our generals. What do you think?

To the Kingdom of Italy,

The Sultanate looks upon the Italian fleet in Rome with gratitude. Given the imminent threat of a French attack, we have no desire to weaken our Italian friends and neighbors with a conflict over the Ionian. While we may need to set sail for blue waters this turn, our fleets have no intention of straying into the Ionian or beyond unless called upon by our Italian friends for assistance.

The nation of Italy formally declares war on France. There's no need to beat around the bush—tensions have been rising, and my negotiations have made it obvious that I will not be going East. I fully trust my neighbours in the Kingdom of Austria and do not plan on damaging our relationship.

Due to the nature of war, I will not fully disclose my moves to the public. I have only told my general to move towards France; the exact moves are up to my general's discretion.

The German Empire is sad to see its good friends France and Italy come to blows and hopes they can come to a reconciliation, perhaps while avoiding discussions of who has the best food and wine.

@France I hope you are able to still commit the fleet in Brest to an invasion of Britain. I understand if the rest of your troops must turn southwards.

@the German general - I will let you do as you see fit with the army in Munich. If you do feel like getting involved in the south, you can send the army to Tyrolia, otherwise perhaps hold? Not sure.

Also, while we’re at it… The Austrian diplomat has not been seen in a little while. Taking a much deserved ski vacation perhaps?

In any case, as I am invested in my friend Austria’s survival, I will offer some unasked-for advice for the Austrian general. The Sultan of Turkey has turned a covetous eye toward your lands - even without a formal declaration of war, he has discussed taking Serbia from you, and asked Russia to invade Galicia!

I think it is imperative that you send Vienna to Galicia, with support from Budapest. I also think Trieste should support hold Serbia, in the case of a joint Russian-Turkish attack. Lastly, your fleet in Greece could head to Bulgaria with Serbian support, or maybe to the Aegean? All just my two cents. Obviously you are an experienced general and can make your own decisions.

@my own general - in addition to holding or going to Tyrolia, there is also the option of going to Bohemia to aid the Austrians. Decide as you see fit!

I want to petition the German general not to move an army into Tyrolia. I harbour no ill intentions against Germany and would prefer them to stay neutral in our conflict. Perhaps you could help the Austrians, as your ambassador also mentioned. The Italians would be grateful and would repay your kindness in the future.

To the Kaiser,
I would like to point out that the Italians have not pinky promised, and as such cannot be trusted.

To the Italians,
While it’s true that most of the time France attacks Italy, maybe it doesn’t have to be this way? Can we be friends? I don’t really want to attack someone who is friends of a friend.
Keeps forgetting to sign off these messages,

To England,

Italy's invasion of France can't be done alone. In a one-against-one, we would be left with a stalemate. However, you are in a unique position to be able to join the campaign. With the two of us working together, France would slowly fall apart while being attacked from both sides, and we would gain many supply centres in the process.

I strongly encourage you to consider my proposal. I would be open to negotiating which centers you would like to keep when it comes to that.

What a dynamic spring season, with some very interesting developments! We are starting to see some mismatches between the goals of the diplomats and their generals - perhaps some of our telegraph lines have been cut?

In any case, I will try to address the moves of each nation and their diplomats in turn.

England - It seems your general was hoping to make nice with mine. While I am currently aligned with Russia, I am open to working together and urge my general to do whatever feels right. It seems my invasion of your island has been hamstrung by the French waffling on their alliance (you’re not Belgian!) but I still want to take control over the North Sea. I do not think allying with France will work well for you considering your fleet is hovering off their coast and they are already fighting off the Italians.

France - I trust the great diplomat Pengwinja had no hand in this! I would not consider this a stab, just mere foolishness. By letting the English into their eponymous Channel you have created a two front naval war you cannot win. And by violating our Burgundy DMZ you have eroded trust between our two great nations. I will give you one turn to back off, or you will find those Burgundian vineyards trampled over next year.

Italy - My general made the right call and left the army defending Munich. If things go south with France, I will head west and we can make short work of them.

Austria - Excellent moves from the Austrian general, even better than what I had proposed! I hope it is ok that my army did not head to Bohemia to help out. In the absence of the Austrian diplomat, I hope it is not presumptuous to say that I may try to conduct some negotiations on your behalf.

Russia - I am glad to see the English attack on you has failed, and hope to keep our truce going. Let me know how you want to proceed in both the north and south.

Turkey - The Austrian general is a crafty one! Will you have to use the fleet in Constantinople to support your other fleet into the Aegean, or use it to defend Bulgaria once more? Choose wisely!

- from the office of the Kaiser of Germany

To Germany, no I do not want to let you into the North Sea, i believe that is a preempt for a stab. Also you seem to be really hedgy on who you truly want to work with you, me or France
