As long as it’s not incriminating no reason to sharebozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 9:35 pmI obviously was not protecting Jamie, and I unfortunately was not watching him either. I don't think there is any benefit to letting the mafia know who I was targeting.
I am not sure how to interpret ghug threatening to shoot Jamie with 4 hours left in N1, then Jamie ending up as the NK. I think if ghug were mafia, he could do that to dissuade me targeting Jamie, but I am sure there are possible town motivations as well.

That was not four hours worth of content that I read. You were claiming I read a ton of content, or that I spent 4 hours reading, or something.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 7:49 pmYou said here that you read all of the posts after you subbed in:sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:18 pmI didn't read four hours, I just read a handful or two of pages. Then I got busy and forgot about the game.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 5:04 pm
I don't understand how you could read the four hours you say you read and not be interested enough in what was being discussed to try to understand the setup, or why you would not start with reading the setup.
After you read the setup with 20 minutes left in D1, did you understand the importance of the vote for certain positions not ended in a tie?
Idk if I "understood the importance" of not tieing, but it's certainly intuitive to me that it would make sense to properly fill the roster.
I had no idea what the votes were at, so I didn't understand the impact of any of my roster choices, and I was concerned with filling one out on time to not be modkilled. Which I barely did in time.
I heard discussion about TFB being mod killed, so I thought voting them would be low impact since who would actually vote for TFB in that situation? I didn't want my random roster to impact the game, since I had no idea about anything.
How did you mean that if you had not read all of the posts in the 4 hours between subbing in and making that post?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 3:57 amUpdate:
Still haven't read the setup, assume it is D1. Have read all posts after my sub in. It seems Will is trying to zoomer duel Bona?
Bozo is trying to puddify us all with mech stuff.
That's about it.
I'm going to be honest; I'm happy to be subbing but my attention right now is strongly focused elsewhere. Consequently I am not sure I will bother doing much more than maybe skimming what's been said before.
I did not realize this was 17 players, I thought it would be another pseudo-dead Olympics game that could be read in a few minutes.
100% will read the setup and figure out mechs, but definitely not going to engage with boring mech plan stuff. Let's focus on the actual players and not the mechs for once, FFS.
That is just not the case.
Re: Mafia Olympics - Gold Medal Game- Fantasy Football - Official Game Thread
I don't think we're getting anything more interesting at this point out of withholding and people will be submitting rosters soon and can probably use some time to digest.
I tracked bozo last night. I figured that was a better use of a track than a low percentage play at hitting the specific mafia doing the kill (especially since even that could have been bozo). I saw him visit two people, the identities of whom I have crumbed.
I'll let bozo reveal for himself what he saw, but I'll do it myself later if he hasn't and nobody has presented a compelling reason not to. I will tell you two things, however:
1. He did not visit Jamie.
2. He did not visit me.
The latter point leaves me reasonably confident he's town. There was thread sentiment around protecting me being the correct play (I recall a conversation I had with Will during the night but also general discussion of the superpower strategy during day 1). I can see the utility of not doing that as a townie: I'm an unlikely target, and it gives a shot at saving someone else. It looks pretty bad for him if I do die, but that's a calculated risk. If he's scum, though, he knows there's a chance I could track him, and the doc visit isn't doing anything unless he thinks I'm going to shoot his partner, so why not just throw it away on me?

I would simply not read what I didn't want to read as Mafia. Obscuring my activity like that is bad play because it could lead to me behaving in an inauthentic way. If I feel inauthentic, it's going to come out awkwardly and I am going to feel caught quickly.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 8:27 pmI do not doubt sweetandcool is busy and was having trouble catching up, but I think as mafia he would have reason to hide how much he had read.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 7:09 pmDo you think this is scum!sweet lying to us about being caught up? I already had doubt about this slot when PE subbed out, but I don't think sweetandcool was consistent with how much of the game he had claimed to read during D1, and I find it hard to believe sweetandcool would not look at the setup until there were 20 minutes left in D1.
If sweetandcool subbed into this game as town and read the portion of the game he said he read and did not look at the setup, my expectation of how sweetandcool would play the game is off, which I suppose is possible.
Which I guess so far is what I have done. Hoping to finish reading D1 tonight

If he’s scum there’s 0 reason to do anything BUT visit you. This was a great play ghug, and unless you’re both scum, is a good reason to townread bozo (for now)ghug wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 11:36 pmI don't think we're getting anything more interesting at this point out of withholding and people will be submitting rosters soon and can probably use some time to digest.

He’s one of the few players I’ve yet to at any point think “that looks towny. Hmm, ok…be suspicious but not too suspicious “sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 11:40 pmWhy worcej? Or should this be my homework to finish reading D1. Haven't got to you yet Bunny.
He seems to be here but not here. Commenting on my commitment to a bit, but never giving me a sense he’s hunting at all. Reminds me of his scum self.

Based on my iso of ghug I think they’re crumbing that it was will or sweet if we related it to the dentist stuff or it Jamie based on page 72

The crumb is to confirm my story, so I'd encourage you to speculate privately until that's happened.

Probably. I'm normally anti-crumb, and I may have had another motive that we can get to later.
I told the world I was going to shoot Jamie and then he died. It felt comical and somewhat liable to sow chaos or at least discussion.
