I think the super bunny play felt way more obvious outing like hey do this and putting a target on his back at the very beginning. I think bozo has been in the work over the 12 hours but no by being over the top but by controlling a narrative throughout and more subtly putting themselves forward not as aggressiveHamilton Brian wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 1:45 amSolid question; one can't honestly put bozo's play under scrutiny without turning on the spotlight on the Superbunny (TM) shenanigans.

ghug already said it, but to reiterate:GlitterBomb wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 1:35 amOk fair. But also, if literally half of the players in this game have said they find all of the rules and mechanics confusing, how on earth do you think I feel with it being my second game? If there’s a different approach I should be taking to learn then by all means, let me know. Otherwise, I just don’t see how these games are super welcoming to new folks. Is this an actual question because you’re perplexed by me? Or is it because you didn’t like what I had to say to Jamie? I don’t disagree with what he’s saying but I feel like the approach was wrong. If I continue playing, I am very likely to make mistakes and do things that not everyone agrees with. So does that mean that I can expect a total berating? After all, it’s a game right?
As far as my approach to this game… the feedback I received from my first (and only previous) game was that I wasn’t opinionated enough. But then when I state my opinions and my gut checks I’m told they’re baseless. Yep. But they seem about as baseless as everyone else’s scum reads and gut checks.
I am naturally suspicious of everyone, especially since when I finally let my guard down in my last game of was to a scum and I didn’t trust my initial gut.
My background is in strategy games/shows and following murder mysteries. So I’m paying attention to who emerge as leaders, who are rostering for themselves versus going along with a bigger plan and who is doing just enough to coast and blend in. Will, Flum and Bona are highest on my radar. I’m thinking Jamie and Damo are town. Bunny, your aggressive “make me super bunny” posts confuse me but I think it’s humor and eagerness, not scum.
Gonna re-read some things and think it all over.
What else do you need to know about who I am?
I'm finding you very difficult to not scum read. You seem to be responding to a lot of fluff (Just's jokes, my over the top "me me me meme", flavour texts, little arguments, stuff that has nothing at all to do with anything), but then your actual takes are superficial and seem to not be from as honest a place as the rest of it. This is usually scum indicative.
That said, your actual takes don't seem manipulative. Just...less honest. So I'm trying to figure out who you are as a person/player/brainbomb associate.
the rules only matter a little.
Making yourself open and honest and complete so we can easily townread you matters a lot. Whatever that is for you (all of us do it differently, but some of us do it better than others)
Clearly finding scum and stating it and (as just and I mentioned earlier) finding town and stating it is what matters.
And only a few of us have met you before. So...who are you?

I got a reputation here early for looking for ANY edge I could find, but have dropped a lot of that lately because it wasn't the fun or right way to be playing.
I got a reputation here early for being able to spam BS as scum as much as I can as town and do it well enough to win a bunch of scum games early; but I've only played scum once in recent memory and it didn't go too great for me (I think? I don't remember).

FWIW, I don't agree with you mostly due to my own meta impressions of the two of them. Both players wanted power consolidation and went about it in their natural styles that are NAI.Col7by wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 1:52 amI think the super bunny play felt way more obvious outing like hey do this and putting a target on his back at the very beginning. I played f2f mafia with friends all through middle and high school in the <cough cough>'s and didn't think it was even possible to play text only; that scum would just always win. I enjoy it so much I introduced it at work.

To clarify/add to this… even before rosters became official or even listed as unofficial, I’m going to go back and look and see if anyone was town reading TFB (on only one post) and then flipped to voting them out. Why all of the flips to save Kak or kill TFB?GlitterBomb wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 1:44 amAt last tally it was going to Kak for I/R so I thought a change by me to Kak wasn’t needed. But Will, Flum and Bozo all voted last minute to make TFB take the lead over Kak. Maybe an intention scum move to prevent us from actually hitting a mafia and losing two instead of the three that would have happened with two mod kills?

And has Kak even posted???? I searched and couldn’t find anything…
Useful features:
1) Click "search among all messages" you can then search. I suggest using the * symbol to complete things. So searching for posts by Bunny* with the word scum* will find all posts by me that have any word starting "scum" (including "scummy" "scumbucket" etc. etc.)
2) Click Game Status to see the current phase. You can read posts. See post status. During days (and you can navigate back to see yesterday) you can see all the votes (this is why Flum was saying we should ##vote anyways) and links to all the posts where the votes occurred.
3) In the Game Status (or previous phases statuses) you can click a name under posting status to see all their posts and nothing else. You can click the time next to that to see their most recent post (the time is how long ago it was).

I AM!!! I have no flipping clue wth I’m doing! This is my second game! I’m doing my damndest. Last time I wasn’t active enough. Now I’m too agreeable. And I’ve even tried contributing my own opinions more. This is bogus.
Players aligned quickly. Chaqa said they’d vote for anyone who voted for Eden bc they were the most town…but have nothing to back that up. Turns out it was wrong and Eden was evil. I made diagrams. I eventually fell into groupthink and started thinking I was off on Eden because no one else suspected and I started trusting him a bit.
Everyone was convinced Damo’s actions on the first vote made him scummy and I was in that group. The plan that they came up with though was to hammer vote and end before I even had a chance to do my vote. And it was wrong. It ended pretty quickly. Biggest thing I learned was to try to assert myself more sooner.
So on that note…
I’m most suspicious of damo (voting for inactive but historically powerful players is majorly sus to me), Bunny (again on the post overload at the jump and also the “everyone vote for me” stuff) and Flum and Will I’m still trying to figure out. Not convinced.

That's my own subjective view of the situation. Hard to read people when everyone's just confused about the setup and there's no voting movement.

Well, two town deaths isn't great, but considering TFB wasn't posting and that Haze didn't have a clue its isn't that bad too.
Don't get why people voted me as WR2 but it isn't a bid deal. I think both Bozo and Ghug are town so we might get something from the Night actions

Agree, we should probably have a voting tomorrow because this roster voting format doesn't help town to get info.
