I don't think that is the case because if it gets down to 2/2 and the two town players try to put themselves in the doctor/TE slots, the mafia can put themselves in those slots and nullify the assignments.

I think im understanding your hypothetical was that someone was all three, the doc, the te and the qb.

Yes they cant self save with their doc power in that scenario.

Yes, it could get 2 town clears to the end if it is possible to clear anyone in this game.

The RB slots are pretty useless until the endgame.

If doc is targeted TE dies thus if TE is town maf get in a double kill. This means QB is kind of obliged to watch doc to prevent this. And doc probably saves QB or Flex (provided not in both roles).

So, as I said ages ago the NK will almost certainly be from the bench or positions 2 or 3.

Roster management should take this into account.
