Someone explain this "super power" gambit to me?

Since the doctor can't be NKed, if we put one player in the doctor, watcher, and JOAT slots, the mafia can't target a PR and the doctor can use the save elsewhere.

Just to make sure I'm clear:

The Mafia CAN kill the person assigned the Doctor role on a particular night, but they CANNOT remove the Doctor role from play, because a new Doctor can be voted into the role the following day.

That is what you mean when you say "the doctor can't be NKed", right?

Generally yes. "On the piss" is synonymous with "on the lash" etc., indicating a drinking session which may last several hours.

This is contrasted with "going for a pint", which indicates a more measured, shorter drinking session of up to a couple of hours, in which between one and four pints are consumed.
