Since we have no EoN, here are my EoD thoughts:

I've waited to talk about that, because I hope mafia makes a big mistake and fire their gun today. Why? Let me explain:

9 players
-2 mafia
7 town
-2 mafia shots
5 towns

2 misvotes until it's VMoL (vote mafia or lose)

= 3 parity towns

=> if 3 (parity) + 2 (mafia shots) = 5 player obv-towns, this is a free town win.

Mafia just don't have the kill power to overpower town.

I also think, the best strategy for mafia is to play as townish as they can, and keep their shots until very late game to not reveal any information to town and limit hard information to only the ones town votes to flip.

That means, if mafia doesn't make a mistake and stays put until D3, we will only have the information of day flips; that gives a huge power to town, but without any information except what the individual players read from others.

That also means, we will be very blind the first days, if we aren't lucky or get a good read/town leader with good instincts. And the best strategy for town here is to just try your best to obv-town, and find your other town members. As soon as we have found a town-core of 5, we instantly win; if we get lucky and remove one mafia before they shoot maybe we can get that down to 4, but I wouldn't rely on that.

Of course, mafia will then try to look as towny as they can, trying to enter that town-core pool, but I think that isn't easily done and we have a good chance here. From all the games so far in the olympics, I think this is the most town-leaning one.

That's also why I'm pretty disappointed by the low post count, and some player just hardly participating. Not all of them can be mafia, and probably only one of them is in that pool, but I also think we can't just let that be and put them in our PoE.

So, my advice is to show your towniness as good as you can, find other townies and vote out those who are questioning and don't be afraid to take a bullet: getting hit by mafia here means that they lose 50% of their power and you did a great job, especially when it happens early. The earlier mafia is forced to shoot, the better for us.

And if mafia doesn't shoot today, they already know that it's best for them to hold the shot, so it doesn't hurt to say it now at the end of the day for every town to be on the same page.


Pool of max 1 mafia: ghug(freshly added after subbing in), bunny, jamie, flum. Personally, I would add RD in here too, but I would understand if you pull him out here.

sweet I'm not sure about. I'm leaning more town, but it isn't any locktown case like at other times.

MM and ImpWill are definitely in the PoE, but I'm not convinced that both are mafia. Possible, sure. But that's just so easy that I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

Last words, if I die:

Best advice I can give to you if you are town: if you survive into the lategame, always ask yourself, why you survived this long; does mafia plan to misvote you? Does mafia like your reads? Are you just not that townread that you think? Look at your reads, and the overall vibe of the game. Who does profit from the current situation? There's often a mafia hiding in the opportunistic spot there. (It's maybe not ideal for this game with mafia having such a low nk power, but it might still prove helpful.)
