@Fluminator: if you had a gun right now to remove someone from the game, who would you point it at? Do you get the same feeling as me that this game is an absolute sleepfest and people need to do much more, or are you comfortable and happy that there is only so few things to reread? What are your thoughts about Jamie here?
I would wait until I had a more solid scumread, but if I had to do it right now, I'd shoot Monarch since they're usually inactive which always hurts us.

There are only 9 players this game so this is never going to be as hyperactive as normal games. I actually find this so refreshing right now not being drowning in posts yet.

Jamie I don't have a read yet. He usually obvtowns eventually and I have a pretty accurate hit rate on him when he doesn't. (Ignoring the one big miss I had we won't talk about)
So you are hypo claiming scum?

Bunny is scum, but he's pretending to be town so I'm fine keeping him alive since he might bus his partner for us first.

I think you're suspicious. You've posted way more than anyone else. I know that's bad precedent to suggest, but how I see it is that everyone is a bit out of it since sign ups were so long ago. You having energy now means probably something made you excited, like rolling maf.
Ok, kak hyperactively posting is probably actually the biggest point against him being scum, so weird thing to shade him for.

But I also fully believe everything Monarch is saying about game-start confusion lol, so they're not scum for that.

This is a disappointing game.

Several players are completely AWOL.

So far I think most of the posts have been by town. Which is good (so long as I'm correct).

It's too short a game to let this happen.

But also we NEED to hit scum today; that not only saves a miskill, it saves a nightkill...

So: two people have convincingly townslipped so far (it helps I was town reading them anyways).

##Vote just for not having the engagement I'd expect from a friend of kotp in his first game here
This urgency seems a little fake to me. But I would like to know the townslips since that's big if true.

##Vote Will

Kak's hyperactivity means he can live.

I don't love Monarch hopping on the Kak wagon, but I also think Will could use some pressure.

No, he’s some juvenile delinquent who thought it’d be funny. Not looking forward to a game with both of them.

Sweetandcool, MadMonarch. I see you both there.
2am. I am asleep.

This possibly, is my computer reloading the tab when I'm away? It was left open last night, but my laptop was closed.
You leave your computer on, all the time?

You don't switch it off when you go to sleep?
I usually do this myself, at least if I'm home the same day.

Go over to his desk and slap him about the face and ears.
It’s a holiday here celebrating the value of unions.
Up the workers!

In the UK, we nominally mark that on International Workers Day which is 1st May.

Not sure why USA does it in September.
yeah, first of may here too.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the USSR and communism/cold war time (red scare etc.) that the US did choose a totally different date. Didn't want to connect themselves to that.

No. That was just my way of phrasing it. But that was the townslip I was referring to from previously in the thread.
Which two people townslipped in this fashion?

I'm struggling to find any relevant posts using the word "night".

Also, excuse if I'm nit-picking, but if you knew there was no night, and you had used this observation to notice possible town-slips from other people, why would you continue to knowingly use incorrect terminology?

if you mean my post, that was no slip of me, I intentionally posted that there to see what jamie does, so I'm sorry bunny, if I had a townslip, it wasn't this one

I actually misread that as "EOD" when he posted it, didn't realise.

Observant of you.

My second question was fairly minor but I note you didn't answer it.
jamie overlooked that tiny thing, but he knew that the setup included the no night (see his previous posts: )

Is there a townslip in this post?

There are no night phases.
Jamiet99uk wrote:

Just to be clear, the scum gunshots are daykills, this game is what we call "nightless".
if you ask, "why did you intentionally write EoN there" - I wanted to check how careful jamie read the things I write. He wasn't as precise as I thought he would be with his initial look at my post (the 'only' thing and stuff), but he went back on that later after I pushed back on that. So it seems to check out that it was just a genuine interpretation difference between the both of us and not some malicious driving on his behalf at that point of time.

I also don't see anyone giving any thoughts about the situation, so I see no point in waiting longer for my thoughts on that. I was very perplexed when jamie walked back and didn't full focus tunnel me and bite into that situation. I mean I like it, but I was instantly reminded of the pirate game (where jamie and bunny were mafia) and both tried to miscredit me to make me a misvote, but also don't fully committed to that. Of course that alone is no big slamdunk sign for mafia, but I was sus of it.

But no one has pointed that thing out in the time since then, and jamie makes much sense with that he knew of no night and that he just overlooked that little EoN thing. So all in all, very plausible and it checks out. So jamie is probably town?

I mean there was also another reason on top of it why I did it, I was trying to get engagement and Jamie's attack felt just so frustrating , like, I felt I was the only one doing stuff to find mafia and he just go on on those simple small stuff that doesn't really matter, so I felt a little troll-ey and promised to give him what he pushed for but with a big hook; a time that didn't exist in this game. If day two came along or if he noticed that little trick, I just wanted to quote him and post this little picture here
trollface.png
trollface.png (17.48 KiB) Viewed 200 times

but yeah, as it looks like, he just overlooked it. Ah, if I just could've trolled him successfully.

But to also answer jamie for his original question: I just felt right to put the endvote in at the time. It was funny and haven't really put any more thoughts of plans into it. Thinking a bit about it after I had posted it, I thought it would be interesting if anyone endvotes too, and thought about the situation more, and then thinking about it I noticed that if we endvote someone fast enough we could negate mafia a shot.

But this time is definitely over (at least for today), but at the time I also thought it would be interesting if anyone else would think about that possibility. So many thoughts about it, some that came only after I read my own post, and also some that I have yet not revealed yet, since I think those benefit mafia if they know right now.

So believe me there or not Jamie, that's just how I thought about it, and some thoughts just came later on.
