Minor scumlean on Kak for deliberately flooding the thread with crap that he could thereafter debate the linguistic nuances of, therefore increasing the noise-to-signal ratio.
*Kak trying to make content and pull people out to talk about it, even when it's first day shitposting*

first of all, as a long standing member of this community, you must be aware that endvoting does also have an emphasis of on the vote already taken, as a way to 'up the ante', if you excuse my poker-ish.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:07 pmWhy end voting at this stage of the game?
Seems very stupid.
additionally, as you should be aware as worcej has told us all to read the setup closely, it happens that in this setup, mafia does NOT have nk, and only the first shot entered in ones day does count. Furthermore, each mafia member has only one shot of this ability.
therefore it is just ideal in terms of this game, to remove any mafia before they have even the chance to put in their order. That much should be obvious, and you asking me this question is very perplexing to me.
or, in much simpler terms: Oida, biast dua deppat?
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #3 - Raygun's Revenge [GAME THREAD]
thanks. So what I'm getting here is, since this game lacks any mechanical way of scanning or clearing people (except their flip), is, that you cannot really tell us much yourself if Hearthrob is mafia or town, got it.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:26 pmI’m guessing because of clock-lands or zones of time that make it difficult or unlikely to be posting now. Not all our European compatriots are nightowls like you and Jamie.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 10:43 pmbut now that you're here, come out little bunny, and tell us what you think so far of the game. Why do you think so few people have posted yet? Any special insight to any of the non-posters?
You work with Hearthrob together, if I'm not wrong? any special insight there for the moment?
Yes, we worked closely together for over a year. Not really? He’s very insightful. Quiet when new to a community. He’s played scum capably a couple times. I didn’t catch him in our last game, but the community did with some mech help. He had me fooled to the very end.

ahh, I see, that makes much more sense. The old y/x/-y/-x thing, right?BunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:35 pmGoogle now tells my I’ve misremembered gitterpunkt.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:24 pmLattice point (if I recall correctly. and I already told you, the naked part is the less frequently used of 'bloß'. If someone would want to point out that someone is naked, most of the time they would use "nackt" ... striking resemblence, right? "Bloß" is something else; something in it's pure core, or for it's pure essence. Best translated it would be probably "Just", as in "Just so". "JustAnImpostorNamedWill" would be probably "BloßEinHochstaplerNamensWillie". Sure, the use of "bloßer Haut", which is "just skin" would point to nakedness a bit, but definitely not in the way an english speaker would use naked.
Also, what the heck is a "Gittlepunkt"?

maybe I was too hasty with my bunny-sweet team

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #3 - Raygun's Revenge [GAME THREAD]
wished you had posted more than just a friendly greeting and put some early thoughts about the last two pages in here, but it's good to know that more people know that the game has started. Sleep well and hope to see you soon (with much more content)rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 5:08 amGood night everybody. It's late here and I need to sleep.

feel a bit bored but I guess not many people are awake, even when it's 9 am here.
Anyway, just in case I don't miss people coming to play the game, a few questions:
@Hearthrob: I'm sure you've read what Bunny said; do you think he represented you there faithfully? Do you think it was too much or not enough? Any thoughts about Bunny here yourself?
@TheMadMonarch: given that you are in a totally different timezone than the rest of us, you'll probably not being here at EoD. But what are your thoughts about the people who posted until now, and what do you think about the people who didn't? Any special things you've noticed that ticked you to someone's alignment in any direction? What do you think about sweetandcool's postings and reactions?
@Fluminator: if you had a gun right now to remove someone from the game, who would you point it at? Do you get the same feeling as me that this game is an absolute sleepfest and people need to do much more, or are you comfortable and happy that there is only so few things to reread? What are your thoughts about Jamie here?
@JustAnImpostorNamedWill: heya and welcome in the game, don't fear to post stuff, just come in and let us know more about you and share your thoughts about the game. Have you played mafia or similar games before, and how much? As far as I know, you've come in here with the recommendations of KingofthePirates, right? (btw for future, I'll shorten his name to 'kotp' usually, just so you know. Any special wishes for your nickname? Will is kinda already taken, but maybe Impostor, or imp? Or would you like to be called 'sussy baka'?
) But yeah, just hop in and play the game, there is so much you can do wrong (I do it all the time
) but just be yourself and come in here and share your thoughts. And don't hesitate to claim that you are mafia here, that would be a huge play for you
But back to my questions: anything you thought to be questionable or who you are sus of? Anyone who you do think is just town and stuff?
so, as a last reminder for you all for now, we have already played 10 hours of the game, only 38 more until the end of the day. Do some stuff and share your thoughts about what you see and feel, and don't be a sleepy head.

I guess I scared MM away. sadge
But what I've found interesting in having a look back (to see if MM maybe upvoted any posts ... don't ask why
), it's curious that jamie did an RD entrance, while RD himself didn't do his typical "hello fellow townspeople and other bad ones" or something like that ...
maybe it was just the late time, but I would like RD to explain when he comes back, why he didn't do this typical thing of his.

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #3 - Raygun's Revenge [GAME THREAD]
by the way, I just realized that I've missed my chance to call the dancemove in my opening post "the Choppa" ... yuuuge mistake.
Then again, I had only a handful of minutes reading the setup, watching up some breakdance info and videos and getting an inspiration of it, so I hope people will understand
but yeah, that would be a great name for such an austrian dance move

also, I remembered that bunny said that he wouldn't be much available in the first part of D1 since he's outdoor or something, so I guess he did quite ok with his participation until now.
I do hope he ramps it up by quite a bit when he's back in the civilization though, I need more people to do stuff!

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #3 - Raygun's Revenge [GAME THREAD]
seems like sweet read my posts and fell back to sleep. Ah well
anyway, that gives me more time to talk about my worries about civ7, and about the new game I just discovered, Memoriapolis. It's like a mix of city builder and a civ-like, where you are some kind of governeur to decide what projects and direction the city develops into (imagine it like putting the macro-decisions of a city builder and the micro-decisions of a civ-like together; you aren't deciding where every single house goes or the exact shape of your food area, but you plant down different buildings like arena, theatre, forum, etc., and this attracts or bounces off different kind of people, factions and stuff like this to certain areas of the city. You also have to balance out your support for different decisions for rule/law implementations and stuff, so it feels like it removed the tedious stuff from both and put it together in a small mix). Currently it's even discounted for a bit, so it's just about 20 euros, though it is in early access and some of the graphics look wonky, especially when placing buildings/areas around terrain that has a different altitude.
But if anyone likes city builders or civ-likes, have a look, the discount goes on for about two weeks, and I probably will get it soon myself. Even if it is from a french developer
just a small joke, I like the French, but they deserve a small jab from time to time : p

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #3 - Raygun's Revenge [GAME THREAD]
I tried to give the thread some breathing room, and just wait to see if my presence just scares others (especially MM due to the current time) to post, but that's most likely not it, as just nothing happened when I wasn't shown.
here we see MM reading the forum, and I've waited some time to give more leeway, but there just comes nothing. No posts happening and MM is just gone again.
We also know from previous games that MM just isn't giving much data, and will always be just a coinflip. We will gain nothing to let MM be in this game, so the best we can do is just vote her out here and now. At worst it gets rid of a non-playing town, at best we vote out a mafia with an unused gun.
just vote and end MM here and now, and get this game moving on, and talk more about other things. We can just get a better situation by doing this.
Also, I never understood that "don't vote out a lurker on D1" thing, because if we keep them around, the game will just get us less information. Even when we are sure that certain players are very sus and probably mafia, as long as they keep posting in the game we will get more information and get their partners. From lurkers, we just gain nothing. No connections, no information, not even who they try to shade. So lets go and remove MM together and start playing this game properly!

Hey everyone!
Darg reminded me we have a game (thank you!), and now I'm here.
Whats the theme and powers and stuff?
guess I could read it myself...

anchor post on page 3, with even having been online hours before, I can't, this is either the most atrocious try of maf acting, or the worst kind of town play
nah, MM is just lock-removal here

I genuinely have no idea how it said I was online. I have been playing Horizon: Zero Dawn all evening. Neither of my computers had the website open. Darg reminded me when I was at work this morning, but I'd forgot again by the time I got home.
Opened website, read PM, posted, read thread. That order.
I might need to change my password?
