Re: Twenty Questions Game 376
Hint: Although I'm not sure what this person's primary source of fame is in general, I think that most people on this forum who know of this person know of him from his non-political source of fame.
Hopefully this is helpful

Question for QM - your summary is phrased as if the person did hold elected office (“ became famous before holding office”). Is this meant to say that the person did in fact hold office (or is it just the way you worded the summary, and a failed run still may be what we’re looking for)?

Yes, that is meant to say that this person has held office.Aristocrat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 2:19 pmQuestion for QM - your summary is phrased as if the person did hold elected office (“ became famous before holding office”). Re: Twenty Questions Game 376
I'm pretty stumped as to someone who was famous before holding office, but is also famous for politics (even acknowledging that their political fame may be broader than just the office they held). And who fits all the other criteria.

I keep thinking of candidates but they don't fit one or more other criteria. Like Clint Eastwood was a mayor for a while but he was born in California and is too oldAristocrat wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 5:15 pmI'm pretty stumped as to someone who was famous before holding office, but is also famous for politics (even acknowledging that their political fame may be broader than just the office they held). I correctly guessed Clint Eastwood a while a back. I was thinking Rudy Giuliani but he's also too old.DreamTrawler wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 5:48 pmI keep thinking of candidates but they don't fit one or more other criteria. There is one person I thought of but he was born in the same city as Cornel West.

Michael Bloomberg otherwise fits but is too old. Jello Biafra was born in Colorado and was never actually elected.

Re: Twenty Questions Game 376
Would the guessers like a hint, an extra question, or neither? I think that having something like that may move the game along a bit, so I'm putting the idea out there.
